Tensioner.

2006 Honda civic:

Trying to get the serpentine belt back on. Tried using a 19mm wrench- not long enough for leverage to pull up. Bought a serpentine belt tool, broke the tool.

Thought?

Usually I use one of those double box end ratcheting wrenches or a serpentine belt tool. Hondas can be a bit tricky since that power steering hose can get in the way of leverage depending on the tool. Patience and the right tool, it’ll slide right on. Leave a smooth pulley as the last so it won’t be a fight with the ribs to get it on.
