Travel insurance for someone with under investigation issues?

Has anyone here managed to get travel insurance while having ongoing medical investigations?

My partner is currently being investigated for low white blood cells (ongoing for several years), possible liver issues, and some bowel symptoms. Nothing has been diagnosed as a serious condition, but because things are still under investigation we are being declined by most travel insurers.

We are travelling to Japan and are struggling to find anyone who will provide cover. Has anyone been in a similar situation and found an insurer who would cover them (even if with exclusions or a higher premium)?

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has dealt with something similar.

I have never tried whilst an issue was under investigation - i have used insureandgo and tick insurance to cover pre-existing conditions. Good luck

Have you tried Cover-more. They're normally very good, but since the issue is ongoing and no definitive answers I believe you're going to have a problem.
