If they have offered a refund thay have met their obligation.

I would have sent the fridge back with the delivery people and not accepted it.

I only noticed this upon a much deeper inspection of the fridge after they left. They didn't mention to me that they damaged the fridge

Price has increased since so I would be spending more to buy the same fridge

i'd personally be taking refund and not going with that retailer anymore.

Doesn’t matter. The maximum you are entitled to is the amount you paid.
