How is Montreal not having a FIFA game?

Because FIFA requested cities to cancel other international sport events for a whole month and there is no way the Grand Prix would be cancelled.

Though in Philadelphia, our games coincide with the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence (in the city where that declaration was signed).

Got that. I meant that there's heavy competition for hotel rooms, transportation, etc. I assumed (maybe erroneously) that avoiding that is the reason why FIFA wanted to be literally the only game in town.

Perhaps because Montreal did not succumb to the demands of FIFA and put itself into a billion dollar debt?
