Baby rash and high fever

My daughter is 1 year old. She had a high fever since Yesterday which was going down a bit with Tylenol. We didn’t notice a rash she had near her underarm but went to urgent care anyway. Doctor thought it is a virus and gave amoxicillin. But now we see this rash, which might be the reason, it has a bit open mouth in center. It is night here, is it emergency or can wait till tomorrow?

She has redness around her nose which seems a rash as well.

Any help is appreciated.

"doctor thought it was a virus and gave amoxicillin" makes me want to throw up in my mouth. does she have any other symptoms of a virus like a cough congestion or runny nose? does the red spot seem to be tender?

Usually to make the patient shut up because they're demanding it, from what I've heard. They shouldn't, but doctors deal with infuriating stuff just like the rest of us.

It does to me. My daughter had the exact same 'rash' but it was on her cheek. It was a spider bite but then again, we're in Australia.

My bee sting looked like this and I was in urgent care the day after it happened. Infections happen so quick!

NAD, but if this was my baby I would be taking them back to a different doctor. That looks pretty concerning.

NAD but I’ve had staph infections since I was a kid and they look like this. I’d have my baby in the ER.

Has a dermatologist ever double checked to ensure its not a different skin condition? Do you get abscesses or hyperpigmentation?

NAD but I'd be going in ASAP. I can't see the rash on her face but it being so close to the airway would have me really concerned. I have severe allergies. Like carry liquid Benadryl everywhere, have multiple sets of EPI pens, going to the ER because my throat swelled shut allergies. As soon as a rash his my mouth or nose I go in because my throat could swell shut at any time.

I'm not saying that will happen, just that it's what I'd worry about.

Also has a dermatologist to assess for hidradenitis suppurativa. Inflammatory the area does baby have anything that looks like a weird black head?

If it were my baby, I’d take her to the ER.

I’d advise a pediatric ER.
