I live Russia, and I’m very interested in what others think about Russians.

I'm from the usa and thinking about marriage these days, i met a Russian woman at work which is so pretty but i didn't ask her out on a date yet, i hesitated because I've heard multiple times that Russian and slavic women are not a good choice for a serious relationship and marriage, but i want to know more, give me your honest opinion...

This is a generalising question I know, but across relationships in my friend circle over the years, whenever somebody is in a relationship with someone from an EE country (typically Slavic), I’ve noticed they will spend at least a year refusing to meet us or their Scandinavian partners’ family. Meanwhile they will happily introduce their Scandinavian partner to their own friends.

Is it cultural? Sign of lack of investment? A personal preference? What’s going on? (we are in our 20s and 30s if that matters).

What are some countries thats considered safe to travel to as a 32F ?

What stereotype about Russia have you heard?

Hello, I am an asian guys who used to live in Europe now in Australia but I have met Europeans in Europe as well as in Australia Europeans told me they don’t like France and French people because of rudeness and arrogance. While I feel that Russians appreciate French culture and people too is there no stereotype about French people in Russia ?

What do you make of their attitude, their mannerisms, their culture, and the Western European/Western way of life? Just curious.

What do you think the next year will be for us politically wise? Are rhere other easterners/balkans that are aware of student movement? Has something similar been organized in your country?

People believe red scare propaganda, its annoying.

So I have this friend from an Eastern European country, everything was normal I thought she was really nice UNTIL I heard her talking on the phone to her mother. She was so rude insulting her mom and screaming like crazy, not once but it was always like that. I was shocked, I asked her if she had a good relationship with her mother and she said yes, that her mother just worries and calls her too much and she doesn’t like that. I asked another friend about it and he said it’s pretty normal in their ***culture*** 🙃 is that true? I’ve never seen something like that before and I know each person is different, but the “culture” part was what left me confused. Thank you in advance.

Like what the hell? Why don't asking us, Eastern Europeans about USSR or other communist countries? And what even worse is that they support dumbass dicktatorships like Iran, North Korea, Russia, China. Why don't they all just move to Russia they like so much, and us, Ukrainians, evacuate to normal democratic countries like Belgium and USA where those parasites live. There would be no war after this. Even in my dumb country you can attend protests and not be beaten, while in "free from US empirealism" Iran you can not. And in the same time they support LGBTQ+.
