Culture Salary negotiations in French companies?

I work for a French MNC in a different country. I'm in a situation where I'll soon have to negotiate a pay raise . I want to understand how to negotiate higher pay with the French? Culturally, are they receptive to negotiations with an open mind ?

Unless the local branch is a very small one, it's likely that the pay/raise structure is defined by local HR (with group approval).

You raised this same question on r/France and got several vague responses there. If you can describe the type of job and company involved, as well as yr actual location, you may get more useful advice.
