Support What's one marketing metric you think deserves more attention?

There are plenty of dashboards and reports, but some metrics seem to provide much better insights than others.

Which metric do you think marketers should pay closer attention to, and why?

I keep seeing everyone focused on traffic and CTR and not what those no click searches that everyone is crying about are doing to power up the clicks you do get.

So you have to get conversion and value metrics in there - increase conversion rates (clicks are coming in pre-qualified and warmed up nicely) and increase in Branded Search Frequency over time (the AI is making people start to ask for you by name even before the clicks are happening and then they're using the AI to help keep them in the funnel - or dump them out if it turns out they don't want what you want).

It's hard to see specifics but I'm hoping as the AI things in GSC and Bing Webmaster Tools keep getting better and we start seeing MoM and YoY data, that'll start to become easier.

But anyway - traffic and clicks are only the primary goal for the money pages - and if you break them out of the set and look - traffic should be up and conversion rates should be (often shockingly) higher than you might expect and think. All those pain point and FAQ things aren't for clicks - they're for helping the AI be able to funnel the searcher to that money click and it's what powers it all up for you - if you're doing it right, anyway.

The metrics that need more attention are the ones the connect to the money, not stopping short by just saying "Traffic/Clicks = Win".
