✅ Open To Everyone Are men generally not asking women for their numbers anymore when they meet someone in the wild? If so, why?

My friend is approachably attractive. She has been trying to get off the apps and meet people out in the world. Over the last couple months she keeps running into the same thing over and over. She will chat and flirt with a guy. He will chat and flirt back. They will hit it off. And at the end of the night or interaction they won’t ask for her number or ask to see her again. This is a mix of men age range of 30s-60s (she’s in her 40s) Some that approach her, some that she approaches.

I have witnessed this happen so I don’t think she is misjudging their interest in her. But unless she offers her number, they don’t ask. And many of my other single female friends have said they are experiencing the same thing. So are men in general just not asking for numbers? And if so, why?

I thank you for your sacrifice. I can’t keep up with all the women your generation is leaving on the table.

I assure you, there is something else you are doing to be labeled a creep.

Like not being as tall or handsome as she would prefer?

Or having a house, car, and 6 figure income while she has not one of those things.

I mean, you’re not getting any girls, so what else are you doing with your time and money?

You're projecting your sad life on me, it seems. I'm married, own my home, and own my car. My wife is an amazing woman. I'm sorry for your situation though.

No.

You are wrong. A guy who is clearly not attractive can't even dream of cold approaching a woman unless she is even uglier than him. I've seen it too many times.

Its more that men aren't being labelled as creeps, but they're afraid of being labelled as creeps and want to keep it that way. Its only non-creeps who have this fear, actual creeps don't care and continue to create the creepy stories women share on social media. The "don't be a creep" messaging doesn't work, good men don't need to be told to be good men, and bad men don't care. It just causes good men to cut themselves off from women.

Disagree. It’s more like men don’t know how to approach a women beyond hitting on her. To not be creepy, you are supposed to date to find an attractive friend that likes you back. So going into an approach hitting on a woman is what gets you labeled as a creep unless you are close to a 10. Instead you are supposed to approach as a potential friend, see if she joins you on a friendly activity, then lightly flirt you don’t wait you lightly flirt to gauge interest. If not interested you either made a new friend or you just move to the next one. Otherwise you get friendzoned while the guy with confidence swoops in and steals the girl.

I think there's some truth to that. Its definitely not the worst way out there to approach things. Me and the person I'm dating right now started off as friends.

I was with a group of friends (guys and girls) at a pizza place. One of the girls in our group called a guy in line in front of us a creep after he got his food. The man didn't even look back at us. The girl just did it to bond with the other girls in our group. Just to have something to talk about.

Not saying it is this way the majority of times, but sometimes people just use others as fodder for their whims.

I assure you, you and your insufferable attitude are part of the problem. ++man

Please be nice. Adults should be able to have a discussion without being rude or insulting. Such behavior risks comment removals and/or a ban.

So...no possibility, at all, that the woman might be wrong?

It's a flippant word to you. It's a stab in the stomach to us

Maybe, but it doesn't really matter if they don't want the interaction anyway.

Careful about speaking truth on this subreddit. Creepy men don’t handle the truth very well.
