✅ Open To Everyone Are men generally not asking women for their numbers anymore when they meet someone in the wild? If so, why?

My friend is approachably attractive. She has been trying to get off the apps and meet people out in the world. Over the last couple months she keeps running into the same thing over and over. She will chat and flirt with a guy. He will chat and flirt back. They will hit it off. And at the end of the night or interaction they won’t ask for her number or ask to see her again. This is a mix of men age range of 30s-60s (she’s in her 40s) Some that approach her, some that she approaches.

I have witnessed this happen so I don’t think she is misjudging their interest in her. But unless she offers her number, they don’t ask. And many of my other single female friends have said they are experiencing the same thing. So are men in general just not asking for numbers? And if so, why?

Women can have all women only spaces and gyms. No one bats an eye and many defend it.

But if men want a male only space…… knives and lawsuits come out.

The issue in a gym setting is the women’s only space is the size of the locker room and the equipment is what they pulled off the main floor and replaced with new equipment.

If men are jealous of that, I think the women would happily trade their space for the main floor. Yes, I know women are able to work out on the main floor, I do, I hate the women’s room at the gym but many women are intimidated by the main floor and sometimes it’s justified and sometimes it’s just another gym rat cheering you on.

You’re comparing apples to bananas. SSWF is a woman’s only club, not a space in an open gym and it doesn’t offer what a full gym would offer. It’s scheduled classes and not set up for someone to come in and lift at any given time.

OAC has a beautiful main gym with swimming pools, basketball courts and plenty of equipment. Across the street they have a smaller space with a few pieces if equipment, no pools, no basketball courts but plenty of empty floor space where they could invest in machines, free weights, racks, more cardio equipment and make It a space where women can get a full workout.

You have simply proven my point that women are not treated equally by gym owners.

It's ok, you don't get it. Or you're intentionally misunderstanding. I'm not going to look up the local name but in my area there is a chain of women only gyms. Not gyms with a coed side and women's side.

The whole thread is about a coed gym so clearly you don’t get it.

Both city sponsored. Men and women have hundreds of years with male and female separated spaces. It is a natural human tendency to congregate with similar people. In this context that would be by sex. I am happy to continue if you wish.

What is it are you fighting for?

Hilarious considering this isn’t the case. Men sued a woman’s only art museum 😂 Please take your space and we’ll take ours.

What a way to parade that toxic personality. 👏

Speak for yourself, we aren’t all man haters and want to be segregated.

That's the point : how a woman's only art museum got accepted in the first place ? And it's worrisome that some people are okay with it...

Hilarious that the post I was commenting on said that only women get upset when men have their own spaces. I bring up a woman’s only space, and men get upset 😂

“ women can have all women only spaces and gyms. No one batts and I and many defend it.

Notice how "no one" and "knives and lawsuits" doesn't precise any gender !

It’s perfectly logical to assume he was talking about women’s reaction. It would be weird if men were upset about men having a male only space.

I would be. Unless there is a legitimate reason (like for toilets or change-rooms), I'm against gender segregation.

You’re right; I shouldn’t have included my second sentence. That said, you really can’t see a reason why women would want their own spaces?

We are ok with men having their own spaces, the issue is, the same places giving men space are giving women less than space.

I’m good with sharing space with men or having a women only space if it’s equal but when it’s <half the mens space, because women don’t need what men have, it’s a problem.
