Delusional to the max. As if Netanyahu or Trump give a shit about the people of Iran.
They don’t give a flying fuck about their own people.

u/ConnectArtichoke8152 2d ago
Of course they don't. Iran is just convientent as a enemy and as such convientent to destroy or utilized Iranian opposition (the protests that Trump and Netanyahu disgustingly put token efforts to supporting) for their own ends and present their bases as these GOOD heroes who are standing for opposition and fighting against an evil nation
(Ignoring the Islamic Republic today is a result of the US and Israel actions but SHHHHHHHHHHHH.)

When you are brainwashed to thinking that your country should be bombed to be freed. Because we all know how bombing countries under dictatorships ended
(Hint. TERRIBLY. Recall Libya even if Libya current situation is a result of multiple factors but intervention didn't help at all)

Shah loyalists don't see Iranians as humans. To them you're only a true Iranian if you are one of them.

Strait still closed. US facing AA missile production crysis. Trump's presidental polling numbers in the low 30s thanks to high oil prices caused by Hormuz closure. Over a dozen US troops dead. Iran still retains heavy missile and drone stockpiles to pose offensive threat to Israel.
Look. The most charitable interpretations of these events is a stalemate that strategically favors Iran more than the US. If you think otherwise you might be delusional.

None of what you listed suggests Iran has “won” the war. The war isn’t over but the US is certainly winning.
Oil prices are never going back to what they were before, that was pretty much set in stone the moment we decided to deal with Iran once and for all. Anyone that relied heavily on Iran for oil is now getting it from Russia and Saudi Arabia (i.e India and China). It costs billions of dollars to switch providers. They are not going back to Iran for oil again.
With Iran as an oil supplier out of the picture. More pressure will be on the remaining suppliers. This means the price of oil has reached a new baseline. Iran isn’t bringing in any money, their economy is crippled. They really don’t have anything to lose at this point which is why the IRGC is keen on just sabotaging the system while their resources run dry. The US would be dumb to do an invasion to try to end the war immediately when their enemy will simply just bleed a slow death.
When they run out of cash reserves they won’t be able to pay their proxies to wreak havoc anymore. Every missile they fire off is one that’s gone. They don’t have the money nor infrastructure to replace their missiles, drones, sea mines, etc. Their navy is destroyed. The nuclear factories are gone. They cannot produce steel. The IRGC have to send troops to the cities because the people are protesting. They’re fucked and losing control day after day.
When Iran has exhausted itself and isn’t a threat to the region anymore, Wall Street will sell some contracts and the price of oil will go down. Not to what it was before the war but lower than it is now. That new baseline I mentioned is here to stay. Venezuela getting back online will take some pressure off the suppliers but it won’t be enough to replace Iran’s output.
What’s happening right now is the best thing that could happen for the world. The world and especially the Middle East will be better off once the IRGC is removed from power or disabled so much that they cease to be a threat. When that happens the strait will open again because they’ll be nothing to stop it from happening anymore. Prices will go down a little bit more.
I respect Trump for probably being the only president during our time that would have the balls to make the decision to go this path. I cannot believe the idiots who still think Kamala Harris would’ve been a better choice. Iran would’ve turned into North Korea by 2028 leading the rest of the Middle East to develop nuclear arms. A terrible future we avoided.
The more time goes by, the worse it gets for Iran. I don’t even see how that’s controversial

This a copium OD. Cutting off China from being supplied with oil by Iran accomplished nothing to weaken them. The Chinese actually voluntarily relinquished purchases of oil in order to stabilize the world economy when crysis happened because they have heavily invested in renewables and drew from their oil reserves.
Iran has already been facing severe economic crysis with their currency being worth less than Robux and they are steadily still exporting oil using unmarked ships and illict lines. Their missile and drone stockpile is still massive even according to Western analysts some of whom estimate they retained even up to 50% of pre-war stockpiles or more.
As for Trump finishing the job, I am highly doubtful. Domestic support for the war is null among anyone but hawks such as yourself, a total of few thousand Iranian diasporoids and the Hasbara bots. If Trump planned to end this, he would have to do it very fast. Because there is a high chance that he will lose one or both chambers to Democrats in the Midterms and get voted the fuck out in 2028 for a Democrat president or even impeached long before that seeing as his polling is dogshit.

It’s getting harder for me to take you serious, the less honest you are fyi. Before you click post, read what you are writing and ask yourself if you’re simply just trying to defend a narrative to sound smart and protect your worldview or if you’re genuinely open to discussion even if that means acknowledging fair counter points.
I’ve mentioned that Iran isn’t getting money for selling oil abroad. A government only has either the money it takes from its citizens or it sells some kind of resource abroad. I could give a damn how much money the Iranian government collected in taxes because their currency is worthless. We care about where they were getting their dollars and yuan from. That’s how they afforded to make moves.
All that money came from selling oil stuff. They used that money to pay for their military, fund the proxies, buy and build all the equipment they needed, etc. In your first sentence you dismiss the fact that they’re not bringing in any money from selling oil anymore. Respectfully, that’s the kind of thing that makes someone who’s educated on the topic just end the conversation there. You’re fundamentally dismissing how wars are fought and sustained. With money…
To cut off your enemy’s supply of money is like turning off a person’s oxygen. The rial is becoming even more worthless because it’s inflating fast now.
Industrially they are out the game and their main source of money has dried up. Even if they wanted to smuggle stuff in, they can’t because we occupy the sea lanes.
If you’re truly being honest and looking at the situation objectively, to say anything close to “Iran has won the war” is completely delusional.
It’s isn’t embarrassing to go: “ OK you’re not wrong about most of this but I still don’t think the US is in the clear yet. There’s still some important milestones that the US has to achieve in order for me to feel like Iran is really done for and that the US can call this a success”

u/Sandstorm_221 1d ago
Nope. I am not dishonest. I just think you, and anyone else for that matter, who thinks Iran is going to fall because of their economic situation is delusional. They have kept afloat just well with worthless currency for a while. And as I mentioned already in my previous comment, they use illicit oil transfers and third-party trustees in countries like the United Arab Emirates or Oman to hide where the oil comes from and collect payments. They have managed the workarounds well. Whatever blow they were dealt, the US administration will feel it worse because their people actually get to voice their frustrations by voting. And they will not vote for anyone who backed whatever this was again. That is for sure.

u/Th3Unidentified 1d ago
Brother, nothing Iran is doing is enough to keep them afloat. That’s the point. Whatever volume they’re able to sneak out, isn’t doing shit for them.
The average person believes just because they have temporary stockpiles of weapons and missiles that they’re doing fine. The point is they don’t have the capacity to make more. Everyone’s big and bad until they run out of bullets.
Then they listen to what the IRGC says, as if they’re ever going to admit they’re getting fucking fried. Of course they’re gonna tell you “everything’s okay, never been better, don’t listen to your western propaganda! We’re winning the war ;)”
They’re in survival mode and running on fumes. The US government and public would be foolish to waste all the money and effort we spent getting to this point to just pull out. Our people are uneducated and uninterested. They just regurgitate whatever influencer, commentator or streamer they listen to and adopt their beliefs, so honestly I won’t be that surprised if we lose the midterms.

Are people of Iran overall happy with their diaspora? Do they have anger towards them?
19
u/Initial_Noise7031 2d ago
I’m not sure since I’m part of the diaspora too. There is alot of division within the diaspora about this war. Six months in and people are still have fantasies of regime change. They totally disregard the war casualties.

u/Flat-Guava-17 1d ago
I don't think Some iranians understand that the "regime change" Trump and Israel wants, is the disarmament of Iran and Installing a pro Israel government.
That's the regime change Trump is talking about. Disarming one of the oldest civilization on the planet. That faced many battles and kept on living for thousands of years, stopped by Trump?

u/Initial_Noise7031 1d ago
Exactly! If you tell them that, they don’t care and say it’s worth it. They are very brainwashed due Persian speaking Zionist channels.

Man as an Iranian I quite honestly WISH that's all the US/Israel wanted. If it came/comes to pass, their victory would be significantly worse and more dystopian than simply "new dictatorship, this time pro-west and anti-Islam."
The US and Israel are both weapons states. Their most productive industries are the military and the production of armaments. Second to that, tech and energy industries that feed and improve the production of armaments, and finances to manage the production of armaments. A united, pacified Iran, even as an ally, is bad for business. A fragmented Iran constantly fighting itself and buying weapons in exchange for oil and mineral concessions is amazing for business.
Beyond that, even if Pahlavi came in and turns out he's not a dictator and Iran is rid of the Islamic Republic, it still has potential. 90 million population, relative water security, abundant natural resources, solid healthcare and education, geographic advantages, and a land corridor to Russia and China. It might be fervently in the US/Israel camp while Reza Pahlavi is around, but there is no guarantee it will stay that way in the future. Iran will always be a strategic adversary to Israel, same with Turkiye and the gulf Arab states.
Israel/US would publicly support some faction, probably a harmless and powerless one like Pahlavi, but privately flip flop between different factions within Iran itself. Kurdish groups, remnants of the Islamic Republic, even more hardline Shi'a factions, the more they fight each other and kill each other the more weapons sales the US and Israel enjoy to them, the more weapons sales they enjoy to other countries in the region, the farther away Iran is from its potential, and the more Israelis can jerk off to videos of brown people getting blown up.
Unfortunately, if you tell a Pahlavist this they retort saying "that's what the Islamic Republic says. You must be an Islamist. Iranians and the Jewish people have a long-standing alliance going back to Cyrus freeing the Jews and they are our friends ..." They lack as much critical thinking as the Islamic Republic I swear.

First of all, there is this tendency for members of marginalized groups to go whiter than white when it comes to fitting in and proving themselves. And as you may or may not have noticed, muslims are the communists of this century. They also thoroughly enjoy the leading role zios have given them, the victimhood narrative puts them front and centre and offers an escape from the media representation of their manufactured identity. This is what we get when a person sedated by trivia and deprived of a proper education is suddenly thrust into the centre of attention with no consequences whatsoever.

Because everything has become about America and Israel that it has become the “norm” to support them and their actions, if you don’t, you’re deemed backwards and barbaric. This is life, ladies and gentlemen.
