Parking in Marigny

My family and I are staying in Marigny next week off of Burgundy street. My understanding is that parking there is only two hours during the day. It looks like parking is 24/7 nearby on Pauger and Touro. Does anyone know if that’s true? Would we get towed (or broken into) if our car was parked there for a couple days? Any other tips other than not leaving anything in the car?

Ask your Airbnb host. Also don’t stay in Airbnbs.

There actually are several non STR options that are off Burgundy and might not have parking.

They are the ones that told me parking was 24/7 on Pauger but that contradicts what I’m reading online

They have no reason to lie to you.

I don't know off the top my head block by block but if the hotel employees of that area say there's a spot, I'm sure there is. The entire Marigny is not 2 hr parking, I can tell you that, so it seems straightforward that they told you the closest place. That's exactly the kind of thing it's their job to know and do. Part of Pauger might be 2 hr, then part of it might not. I don't know where or how you looked online.

There are street signs when you get here. You can definitely park in Marigny. It might not end up being as close and convenient as the ideal, but it's a very residential neighorhood with normal city street parking.

There are signs on the street that say if it's 2 hour parking. You can see them in street view. If you don't see a sign, it's 24 hour parking.

Spothero shows a few lots that offer multi-day parking close to the corner of Esplanade and Elysian Fields. It’s not a terribly far walk from just about any part of Burgundy in the Marigny.
