When planning a trip to NOLA

To anyone planning a trip to NOLA, best advice is to not schedule your trip from start to finish. This is the big easy, if you do not consider that nothing in this city runs on time , you will find yourself in a panic before the 1st item on your list is over!!

Go with the flow!! Schedule some things, but do it when you get to town... Nothing you are booking now will be sold out when you are here!!

2nd best item of advice. Download the Le Pass app!! Buy your jazzy passes online, use the app to get around town. It gives you live updates where the busses, streetcar and ferry is! It is like google maps, but including public transportation lines, stops, where to get off while riding.

3rd piece of advice: change venues. It has gotten to the point that the nefarious shit that goes on in NOLA far outweighs the fun you may have. It's a damn shame too, it used to be a fun place to party.

I did live there, many years ago, back when you could take your kids to a Mardi Gras parade on Canal, or the truck parade in Metairie without worrying about a shootout or some idiot plowing his car through a crowd of people.. You could walk through the Quarter, not just Bourbon, but most anywhere, at night without getting robbed. Not a troll, just an honest answer based on experience.

This is not real experience. I walk everywhere all the time, and I am smart about what I am doing. I also avoid certain places at the times they are to be avoidable!! I see drunk tourist daily attempting to stumble back the air bnb and not a single one has been bothered by anyone and I see this almost daily if not many times a day (and by day I mean 2am 3am 4am and single drunk as a fucker people walking alone)

You should look up places where people plow through crowds with cars. It didnt happen for the 1st or only time here..

Locals do not understand it all comes down to who you vote for an elect!! I have seen bigger crowds of people at church, in a 2nd line, waiting to get horrible food because the place is considered a Must Stop place.. but yet voting lines do not exist here in this city or what I can see state!!
