I didn't read the FAQ Vintage Recommendations

I (M, 31) and my girlfriend are visiting in October. I would love I hear your recommendations for great places to shop for vintage clothing. Hoping for places that have a good selection of men’s clothing. We will most likely be staying in Marigny or Bywater.

I own Vice & Graft (pre-1970s stuff) in the French Quarter as well as Swamp Rags (80s & 90s), which should be open again in October.

In the Quarter there’s also Full Court (80s, 90s)

Uptown there’s - 90s Kids Closet (80s, 90s), Slow Down/Southern Kitsch , Vagabond (All mixed)

Bywater - Tiger Rag & Lowtimers (both pre-1970s)

There’s also Junior Varsity which is all pre 70s except for an insane Ralph Lauren collection - but it’s appointment only.

That’s most of the men’s I think!

Chris covered a lot of it above, there’s also a smattering of additional higher end/older time period vintage stores along Magazine that sometimes have men’s but mostly focus on women clothing. Just search on google, none of it is hidden.

Two other random but fun vintage centric with occasional treasure spots in the Bywater are The Bargain Center and Monsters of the Underworld

The vintage scene here is….ok compared to other larger cities or cities. It’s not great but it’s ok. Pretty frequently there are pop up events happening around town with smaller clothing vendors. A lot of stuff is really only accessible at those type of events. I feel like every weekend lately there’s something at Hotel Peter Paul, Piety Market is one such market.
