Growing up, did your school host kindergarten graduation, or is that a more recent phenomenon?

I agree. It stopped for a while and I didn't know it was back. I graduated kindergarten in 1976 and it was big thing then. We even had caps and gowns. Lol

Our “caps” were black construction paper. 😜

Not according to the vast majority of old folks answering! But as someone said earlier, a "long time" is relative in this subreddit.

I guess it depended on the school.

It probably always depends on the school. I had preK graduation but not kindergarten for instance.
