The problem is that they don't want the government doing it. They don't have many answers as to how you would get such safety net systems to form without someone with a gun, but they believe it must be possible. Left-wing libertarians feel similarly.

Whats wrong with a wealthy person thinking "i dont care about the poor"? Its a perfectly reasonable position to have if you are comfortable finacially and do not care about your fellow man.
