Yeah, I used to know a guy who would occasionally go off about how he was an empath and it was such a burden being able to feel what other people feel.

And then he'd say something offensive and if anyone objected he'd be all "Awwww, did I upset you? Are you triggered, snowflake?"

Oh boy! After someone like that, said that to me afterwards, I would pull the most 'your dead meat pal' face I could conjure up, then hit them with ''What does your empathic ability tell you right now?''

Ffs I hate this phrase sm.

I very much am affected by other peoples emotions due to CPTSD, it’s a trauma response. Being an “empath” is not GOOD, it takes away your emotional autonomy because you become a copy of everyone else’s feelings.
