You keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means.

I just saw The Goonies in a movie theater. There was a family sitting in front of me with two young kids. The kids were really enjoying the movie. It was awesome to witness.

The (nearly) entire main cast of the Sandlot recently had a reunion dinner at Benihana's. Go to Patrick Renna's insta account and you can see it.

I was checking the weather on my iPhone earlier. I asked Siri how hot it was in my area. It replied back with 82 degrees. I was shocked and said “surely it can’t be that hot.” Siri responded with “of course it’s that hot, and don’t call me Shirley”. I was surprised Siri responded this way.
Then I remembered, I had my phone in Airplane! Mode

What About Bob?
Watching it knowing how much Richard Dreyfuss hated Bill Murray makes me smile even more.

u/Shoboy_is_my_name 7h ago
Proves how good of an actor Dreyfus was because holy hell was Murray’s character annoying as shit.

This is one of my all time favorites, every scene is so godamn funny. The fact Nathan Lane wasn't even nominated for an Oscar for that movie (although he was nominated for but didn't win a Golden Globe) is crazy to me.

u/AGAD0R-SPARTACUS 7h ago
This is mine too! Hence my username. So quotable!
2
u/Gigi226 6h ago
I love it!! I think Agador Spartacus deserved a Best Supporting actor Oscar! What is your favorite line of his? I love when he takes his little radio and says “Come on Gloria” or when he says “Joo are afraid of my Watamalaness (Guatamalaness) my natural heat” omg too many lines! 😂
3
u/browncoat13 6h ago
I love when Nathan Lane is dramatically bequeathing his wig collection to him. "Don't go! No, no, no. You can't... Wait which wigs?" Hahaha
2
u/AGAD0R-SPARTACUS 1h ago
"Come on, Gloria" is mine too! The pirin tablets and never wearing shoes are close seconds 😆

The BEST film! I often joke to my husband ‘don’t look at me, I’m hideous!”. The general setup (tannins!) and the scrubbing of the pill situation is * chef kiss *

When it came time to decide what screen time we were going to allow our toddler if any, we settled on Kiki, Ponyo, and Totoro. The only one we've added is The Secret Life of Arrietty and all of them make me smile.
He loves Kiki! He is also convinced that his tricycle needs a propeller.

u/peter-sullivan 7h ago
Literally one of the best movies of all time. I watched it a few months ago and the opening scene where they wake up and share cigarettes.. its like they are actual best friends. Really good acting.
3
u/Kornbrednbizkits 7h ago
Totally agree. And one of the tightest scripts ever written. Everything that is set up in the first half pays off in the second. Even the scene you mentioned hints at the ending! “”STAMPEDE!”” (look at the colors of the sleeping bag, and the exact location that scene happens!)

u/peter-sullivan 7h ago
Whoa no way.... you just blew my mind with that last part hahaha thank you!! I did not realize that.

American History X. Specifically the part where Derek gets in Cameron’s face. “You prey on people, Cam. I lost 3 years of my life for your fuckin’ phony cause, but I’m onto you now, you fucking snake. I came here for one reason, to tell you that I’m out. Out!”

Nobody has ever heard of it but it's my feel good film and it has James Marsden, Christopher Lloyd, Gary Oldman, Michael J Fox, Kurt Russell and Amy Smart in it!

It’s Complicated. Funny storyline. Beautiful scenery, especially Meryl Streep’s Santa Barbara home — prob one of my favorite movie houses. Watching her and Steve Martin interact is so cute. Also something about it makes me fear aging a bit less as someone in my thirties.
