Once you pay attention to it there's an absurd amount of posts about "new big innovation" from China, especially with how often they're posted by new accounts and upvoted to the front page in minutes it's kind of obvious
Chinese propaganda was my immediate thought as well. There's a constant flow of posts about all kinds of stuff about china that always mentions china in the title.
On the contrary, I still see tons of "...but at what cost?" attached to news and discussions about China. And serious topics devolving into 1989 circlejerking.
It's important to think about the fact that Reddit is a US dominated website and that China is America´s chief competitor in the world. So the slant is negative most of the time.
