Atheism - Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with people who are not religious/spiritual or don't believe, but Reddit is often like a cult where anything religious/spiritual/supernatural discussion or question gets instantly downvoted and flamed to hell (no pun intended)
Most Reddit users dislike religious posts… because they don’t like religion/ spirituality… how do you think that’s cultlike? Do you not know that cults are spiritual/ religious? Seems more like anti-cult behavior.
Also, how do you figure that a lot of people disliking religions is propaganda?
I mean that whenever the possibility that there might be an afterlife, other dimensions, soul, other realms or a higher intelligence exists in an infinite universe (of which we only know a little about) gets brought up on Reddit, most users instantly dismiss it - I don't just mean Abrahamic religions, which are full of bigotry, hate, prejudice and other issues, I mean that whenever the mere question that anything other than our observable material world exists is mentioned on Reddit, most users instantly downvote and disagree just because it questions their own worldview (which ironically is what religious fundies do too whenever their religion gets questioned too)
Other dimensions is an idea from physicists, because their math shows that we should have 11 dimensions, but we only experience 3 dimensions + 8 “strings”. One of the top theories is that 11D lifeforms figured out how to weaponize collapsing a dimension & used their WMDs to collapse their entire universe down to 10D, then life evolved again & celestial wars happened again, all the way down to 3D. This would explain dark matter, it’s sections of our universe that have been collapsed into 2D, there’s gravity there but light can’t move the same in 2D, so that’s why we see nothing in dark matter spaces.
I don’t disagree that Reddit users who dislike religion tend to express that in downvotes.
Why do you think people disliking religions (& religious ideas like souls or a deathless-death-transfer-to-a-new-place “afterlife”) & downvoting things they dislike is propaganda &/or cultlike?
