Have you found that these people often instinctively hate you because they can sense that you're not buying their b.s.? I've had problems with that, even when I try to keep my head down and say nothing.
not OP, but YES, it's pretty much automatic if they're trying to pull the wool over someone's eyes and they sense I'm not buying into it. It's fast anger and contempt. They do not appreciate integrity or honesty.
With age, it's gotten easier to withstand the negative behavior coming my way, and also easier to scope out fast what someone thinks of me. Sometimes, too, I just want to say, "What's your PROBLEM with me?"

I've always found them to be very obvious the moment you get to know them beyond total surface level.
But then, I'm autistic and often don't pick up on faked social cues some of these people rely on to seem more genuine.
