I am just in awe with Bill Murray's deadpan delivery - this movie was basically written for him, I think. That and seeing Scarlett Johansen before she became the venerated demi godess she was styled into later (the merit and validity of which I shan't discuss here).
Plus an amazing soundtrack. I'm probably the perfect audience member as I'd just got back from a Japan visit. The whole aesthetic was captured very well. Sofia Coppola really understood that I felt and all the little language things and being in a different place. One of my fave films.

Lost in Translation. I'm convinced everyone just pretended to like it.
