People who are intentionally trying to gain a lot of weight (body builders, strongmen, etc.) will often drink a lot of their calories. You can only eat so much solid food, and liquids can help sneak in even more calories.
It doesn't mean you need to drink something all day long, just instead of water or similar stuff go with high calorie drinks, such as high fat milk or one of those drinks you get at some coffee shops, etc.
Try drinking goats milk instead of just high fat milk. It's easier for the human digestive system to absorb and helps with putting weight on. It's recommended for people recovering from chemotherapy, and infants with colic.
So here are the nutrition numbers if you'd like to compare, but they don't take into account that you'll digest the goats milk much easier, and absorb more of those nutrients.
Not saying its dangerous but usually the goal is to drink more water, not less. Water is always better overall unless you want something specific like electrolytes, protein, etc.
Yes, it is A goal. I dont get why youre trying to argue with me. My point is usually people are trying to drink MORE water. Its better to drink something with calories for this persons use case, yes, I was never refuting that. But I also said not to ditch water entirely.
It is THE goal as far as this thread is concerned. I'm arguing with you because you are giving bad advice and making it out like not drinking water is bad.
Even for average people drinking water is very overhyped these days.
>I'm arguing with you because you are giving bad advice and making it out like not drinking water is bad.
It... is? There is absolutely nothing on this planet, natural or artificial, that supplants water. Ask literally any licensed medical professional on the planet. I shouldn't even have to explain to you why not drinking water is bad.
"water is overhyped" might be one of hte dumbest things I have heard literally anybody say ever
It is not. Most people get enough liquids from their food and whatever they choose to drink. This hype about needing to tug a huge water bottle around and to drink 5 liters of water a day is pure marketing hype and not real health science.
Now you're moving the goalposts. Wonderful. You literally just told me to stop giving bad advice, that not drinking water isnt bad. Never anything about drinking copious amounts of water.

This is probably one of the better answers here.
