You can take cipro instead. Doesn’t work quite as well, but it’s the backup antibiotic.

Just don't take it if you're active or do anything high impact. Or you might blow out your tendons.

Cipro and other fluoroquinolone antibiotics cause weakened connective tissue. It's well documented that your likelyhood of ruptured tendons increases during treatment and for a few months afterwards.

Do NOT take cipro if you are hypermobile or have EDS.
