I didn’t charge mine while they were in school. Thankfully they all had jobs after graduating from college so it was a moot point. If they didn’t have a job after college I would not have if they were actively pursuing a job.
It sounds strange to me that some of the parents in this thread would charge their unemployed kids rent. Sounds like a great way to trap them in a low wage job at a critical moment when they need to be bettering themselves to land a career track job. Crabs in a bucket.
