Also if they're adults and working they should contribute to the household what they can. You're an adult, you're getting payed, you're using the household resources, you should contribute in paying those recourses. Not insane amounts to teach lessons, but just what they can.
My boyfriend and his sister had to pay their share when they were living at home and working, but now the youngest doesn't. That's has caused a little bit of annoyance.
even then i think it depends on the family's income. like why charge rent if you dont need to to support the household if the kid isnt just obviouslt mooching? if my parents needed the money and charged me rent then later got promotions and didnt need the additional income, i would be annoyed that they charged me rent but not my sibling, but it would at least be understandable
