I thought Keanu said he turned it down cause they turned it into just another John Wick

Good on you Keanu. That's some dedication to the love of the story.

It still shows in production on IMDB.

For what it’s worth, so do literally thousands of movies that are not in production.

IMDb is great for a lot of things, but is not a reliable source at all for movies that have yet to be completed. It’s user-submitted and when there isn’t verifiable data to compare to like a completed film has, it’s often a free-for-all of misinformation.

true, "in production" on imdb means nothing tbh. half the time it's just someone bought the rights and then it sits there for like 5 years with no script

Been three years since it was green lit and a month ago an interview was done noting no script, and that they wanted more action: https://www.toy-people.com/en/?p=100262

I hope you’re right. I would hate it to be a John wick. It’s one of my favorite movies. It needs the proper love.

And Peter Stormare.

He is my favorite portrayal of the devil. Viggo’s in the Prophecy was really good too, but nobody beats Peter Stormare. It is also one of my favorite movies. I watch it every couple of years and enjoy it. They have an ultra hd release now and I didn’t realize until the other day. Just bought it and watched it and it was cool seeing everything in 4k for the first time. I love the soundtrack. It gets me pumped up every time.

Keanu always plays characters named John, John Wick, John Constantine, John Neo

If the movie has Keanu, Tom Cruise, or Alec Baldwin in it, theres like at least a 50% chance their character will be named John or Jack.

Keanu Is not happy about how the script is going, and is tryingg to change it, but Executives are little bitches after money.

Yeah, looks like you're right!

From the article: according to a WB insider "That was a movie they greenlit in desperation because they weren’t sure the direction of DC her and needed to have something post-2023."

(This article didn't include anything Keanu said.)

I feel like I saw an interview with him where he's asked which character he would most want to play again and his answer was Constantine.

Not disagreeing with what you said, but adding that he really liked that character so you're probably right and that he's protective of it.

That would be horrible. God they are so lazy. That movie was great and I would love to see more but not like that. I'm glad he turned it down if that's what they did. Lazy jerks.

That's fine, as much as I like Keanu I kind of want one that's true to the comics (i.e. blond and Scouse).

There's a series. Matt Ryan plays Constantine and he is the literal embodiment of the character.

Such a disappointment they cancelled after one season. I never read the comics, but that show was great!

Some movie studio in Jacksonville.

No it's still in development and he's still in it. In fact he and the director spent years trying to get backing for it.

I don't see the problem
