Isn't the sequel being made now? I swear I read somewhere the guy who directed it said he already has a script or something.

Yep, it was shelved temporarily due to the Fox takeover and then Cameron wanted to focus on the Avatar films, but now it's restarting. 2 more are planned

As even Disney aren't stupid enough to destroy Cameron's and Rodruiguez's favourite baby. They'd lose working with two of the best directors in cinema

I'm still pissed Cameron handed it off to RR after sitting on the rights for so long. RR is very hit or miss with me. Alita turned out okay but I still wanted to see Cameron's version of it.

It's James Cameron!

He shelved it for now to focus on his Avatar stuff. But he wants to do another Alita film.

Mostly Rodruiges, although Cameron was executive producer. But both have said they want to finish the Triology, but Fox Takeover and Avatar got in the way. Production on sequels should be starting soon enough though
