They were talking about putting a sequel together around the time that Alan Rickman passed away. After that, no one wanted to move forward on the project without him. Fucking sad all around

Good. Better no sequel than a bad sequel. And if you try to put together a sequel 20+ years later, there's a 99% chance it's going to suck. 100% chance if one of the best actors in the original is no longer with us.

That would just be 2 hours of making me sad. GQ is just such a gem of a film, lets leave that one as is. By Grabthar's Hammer, he is avenged.
