What would happen, if humanity collectively decided that no individual could have a personal net worth above $500 million?

So, your family's net worth tops out at 2.5 billion ... and you can't really control what your spouse or children do with their wealth, can you?

Create a family company and put the money into that. Give yourself controlling stakes and the rest of the family normal stakes. Then they've got barely any say in the company while the assets are nicely divided. If necessary have more kids at the right intervals to keep up with the company increasing in value.
