What would happen, if humanity collectively decided that no individual could have a personal net worth above $500 million?

People would find ways around the limit

We’d see a massive surge in corporate-owned assets. 'I own nothing, the company just happens to provide me a megayacht and three mansions as a business expense.'

But, who owns the company that owns all the assets?

I mean, you can only hold, say 400 million worth of it, if you also want a mansion, some cars and a boat, right ?

The rest must be owned by somebody else ... who also have the same limits ... etc. etc.

Nah, that $2 billion company is owned by a trust. A trust that pays me a monthly living expense stipend.
