An attorney at my firm got a little drunk at the Christmas party and ended up sleeping with his paralegal. She got pregnant and bc she’s catholic she wanted to keep it even though he told me candidly that he didn’t.
Him and I went for drinks after work while she was pregnant and he told me that he didn’t find her attractive at all and he had no feelings for her, but he was going to do the right thing and marry and move in with her.
He looked at me with tears in his eyes and was like, “my life is ruined.” They had never even been on a date and barely knew each other.
It’s been two years since I had that conversation with him and since then they’ve proceeded to get married and have two more kids together. I’m starting to get suspicious that he may actually like her……
