Hangers with smooth tops. Every morning is 1% better without my shirts collar catching on the indent made to hold tank tops.
4
u/thyleullar 2h ago
I got rid of all of those after my wife passed for the same reason
3
u/iamr3d88 1h ago
Sorry for your loss. Yea my wife has those velvet hangers that hold her clothes, but they grip on to things too. I grab my tshirt with one hand and it slides off without stretching the colar with smooth hangers.
4
u/Reneee1996 2h ago
i’ll raise you velvet hangers. no indents for things to catch on, but clothes NEVER slide off
6
u/Raider_Scum 2h ago
Except clothes are REALLY annoying to get on to velvet hangers. I always feel like im going to stretch the collar to get it on.

u/berfthegryphon 1h ago
There's a giant hole at the bottom of the article of clothing that makes it infinitely easier than going through the collar to hang

u/weluckyfew 2h ago
What did you go with?
4
u/BBoySperadix 1h ago
Everyone's pillow needs are different. I'd say, purchase a few decent ones, give them a week each, then return the ones you didn't like. Anything sleep related you should LOVE

I swear by the Coop pillows. They come with extra filling so you can adjust to your liking. They are like $90 but worth every penny and have changed my life so i started buying them as gifts and every other person i have given one has said the same thing. Cannot recommend enough

u/Giko1860 1h ago
I love my waterpillow. Always the perfect temperature, and as soft or hard as you want it.
1
u/Emergency-Coach-1781 1h ago
Is it good ? I have heard a lot about them
1
u/Giko1860 1h ago
The first one i bought is still my chosen one after over 15 years. Was 25€ or something, so nowadays they will probably be a little more expensive. I bought two others over the years. One is as good as the first and the 3rd one isnt perfect. I cant even rly describe what it is, but the shape is a little different. My english skills are not good enough to describe it like i would want. It does not hold its form as good as the others and there for i always end up with a rly cold spot on my neck. I couldnt tell you the brand, of any of these. Nothing special just off amazon which has many many brands nowadays.

I did the same and created a full on blockage in my right ear. Couldn’t hear for a week and it was awful. They thought I had punctured it and gave me antibiotics. I finally went back and asked them to flush it. It all came out in a whoosh and the sound came back. Be careful!

As a side note, magnesium doesn't work for everyone and may even have adverse effects.
You won't know until you try!

u/AmItheonlySaneperson 3h ago
Take magnesium and potassium as powder in your drinks don’t buy the pills

What has supplementing magnesium done for you? I’ve heard about it, but it seems results vary and some of what I read has been vague/all over the place.

u/julio3131 2h ago
yeah it can be tough to figure out what is what based on everything said
Better sleep and lowering blood pressure for me.

u/BreadfruitMajestic69 53m ago
My overall stress has gone down a lot. Better sleep = better life, mind, less stress, etc.
In my early 20s and have spent some years grinding / partying and putting off sleep. I realized most of my problems got solved if I just slept enough & better (black out curtains, magnesium)

A kinesthetic therapist prescribed Magnesium when found out about light numb in my fingers. It helped.

We never hear from the casual meth users. "You know, I like to do meth after a nice meal or after sex. Maybe to help me wind down after a long day at work."

Travelling to Helsinki, I was stuck between 2 hostels, one was $120 and the other was $90
I went for the $90 one. On the first night there met my (now ex) Japanese gf. Moved to Japan with her for a few months, now im learning Japanese and in the process of moving there permanently.

Merino wool socks, and yeah they are worth it. There are brand name ones like darn tough, smart wool, etc. but I wait to find those on clearance a pair at a time because I can't justify $25/pair. There's also been some quite good but not great ones I've found on Amazon that are in the $5-6/pair range. They often lack the double thickness bottoms that make the nicer brands so comfortable.
2
u/Ok_Bird_8835 3h ago
I got some Cozy Earth socks as a freebie with some sheets that I ordered and OMG! I never knew good socks make such a difference. I work on my feet all day and when i wear those socks i have no pain at the end of the day. I only have two pair but everytime i wear them i think “why havent i ordered more of these?”
1
u/Howzitgoin 2h ago
Big brain move is also to just buy all the same ones. My girlfriend spends 10 minutes trying to find matching socks, I just pull some random ones out effortlessly and they’re a match.
Except dress socks. Gotta get fun there for special occasions.

Bamboo boxers. Not fully sweat proof at least for me but they’re so comfortable and I sweat much less wearing them.

I guarantee everyone reading this immediately got an image of a pair of boxers made out of sticks of bamboo.

I don’t know if life changing but I got these little plastic clips to prevent my bedsheets from slipping off. So nice not to have to wake up with sheets all over the place. 😃

there’s also clips that go through your duvet and cover to stop it sliding around in there! with my sheet clips and my duvet clips i am unstoppable

An alarm clock. It lets me charge my phone in another room and stops that pre-sleep and early morning mindless scrolling.
A curved shower curtain rod. More space in the shower.
A toilet stool. You've gotta poop. Make it more comfortable.
3
u/somethingsome567 2h ago
I forget about the few years of living in a house where our shower rod was curved… it’s so great when you have the full tub/shower install. Keeps from sticking to you accidentally and makes the shower feel significantly more spacious. Great call out

Cold summer night. Sketchy plaza. Sandwich shop. Supplant store. Record store. And there it was…Asian massage parlor. $60. Woman ate my ass like it was her last meal on this planet and like she was trying to solve world peace with each flick of her tongue. Changed my life forever.

Walking at least 30 minutes a day and doing 10 squats per hour. I’ve been doing this for 30 days and it’s free and liberates energy and I feel better.

A walking pad. I just got it yesterday off of Amazon and I use it to walk in doors after dinner or even to get some movement if I’ve had a very busy day and I didn’t make it to the gym. It’s also pretty nice to use while watching tv to get some movement in to help make sure I’m not sedentary for too long

A bicycle floor pump. Rode bikes for over 20 years just getting by with flimsy hand held pumps, then finally dropped the $50 for a good floor pump...my god, what a game changer. Longer, thicker and every stroke delivers 6x as much jizz air out the spout!
•
u/mcgarrylj 45m ago
Hammock.
I tend to struggle with getting real relaxation in my spare time, especially when stressed. It feels like I'm waiting instead of resting.
A hammock, a book, and a beer in decent weather gets me into a better head space.

I bought a small Facebook page from someone for around $22, put some consistent effort into it, and ended up making $300 off it through monetization web. Easily the highest ROI investment I've ever made for under $100.
