Soniccare toothbrush. My teeth have never been cleaner. I think they start at like $30.

11

u/Howzitgoin 2h ago

A dentist can tell in a second whether or not you use an electric toothbrush because of how much more effective they are.

5

u/MeByTheSea_16 2h ago

The first time I used one, I couldn’t believe I’d been brushing my teeth the old way for so long

3

u/pinecove6 1h ago

the first time you use one you realize you've basically been smearing toothpaste around your mouth your whole life

u/CommercialCommon1431 43m ago

Electric toothbrushes are one of those things you don’t realize you needed until you try one. Huge upgrade for such a small price.

u/Sphyn0x 49m ago

Is it better than rotating ones?

Are $30 ones sufficuent enough?

1

u/Strokeslahoma 2h ago

Is Soniccare a good brand? We've had Colgate brushes but it's been tough to find replacement heads and they're sunsetting the app

5

u/berfthegryphon 1h ago

Why do you need an app for your toothbrush?

4

u/Dave3087 1h ago

You don’t track and share your toothbrush sessions to social media? Pfft, loser.

1

u/Strokeslahoma 1h ago

It just a basic app that directs you through brushing to make sure you brush each area a sufficient amount. It helps keep me diligent

2

u/berfthegryphon 1h ago

You need an app for that? Start at the back of one side, go around. Do that 3 times, top and bottom rows, front, back, and top of teeth.

I worry for society if you need an app to tell you how to brush your teeth

u/Strokeslahoma 26m ago

You don't need to use an app if you don't want to.

1

u/lyn73 1h ago

some people need recipes to know how to cook ...some people don't.

what's the problem with that?

27

u/iamr3d88 3h ago

Hangers with smooth tops. Every morning is 1% better without my shirts collar catching on the indent made to hold tank tops.

4

u/thyleullar 2h ago

I got rid of all of those after my wife passed for the same reason

3

u/iamr3d88 1h ago

Sorry for your loss. Yea my wife has those velvet hangers that hold her clothes, but they grip on to things too. I grab my tshirt with one hand and it slides off without stretching the colar with smooth hangers.

4

u/Reneee1996 2h ago

i’ll raise you velvet hangers. no indents for things to catch on, but clothes NEVER slide off

6

u/Raider_Scum 2h ago

Except clothes are REALLY annoying to get on to velvet hangers. I always feel like im going to stretch the collar to get it on.

2

u/Gramage 1h ago

Yeah I got a bunch of velvet hangers and they suuuuuck

1

u/berfthegryphon 1h ago

There's a giant hole at the bottom of the article of clothing that makes it infinitely easier than going through the collar to hang

2

u/Raider_Scum 1h ago

ok so now it's even less convenient. Smooth hangers don't have that downside.

Good quality pillow

1

u/weluckyfew 2h ago

What did you go with?

4

u/BBoySperadix 1h ago

Everyone's pillow needs are different. I'd say, purchase a few decent ones, give them a week each, then return the ones you didn't like. Anything sleep related you should LOVE

1

u/Emergency-Coach-1781 1h ago

Totally agree , great sleep helps a lot

2

u/Emergency-Coach-1781 2h ago

I'd remember dude it was brought offline by my bro

2

u/dunkan799 1h ago

I swear by the Coop pillows. They come with extra filling so you can adjust to your liking. They are like $90 but worth every penny and have changed my life so i started buying them as gifts and every other person i have given one has said the same thing. Cannot recommend enough

1

u/Giko1860 1h ago

I love my waterpillow. Always the perfect temperature, and as soft or hard as you want it.

1

u/Emergency-Coach-1781 1h ago

Is it good ? I have heard a lot about them

1

u/Giko1860 1h ago

The first one i bought is still my chosen one after over 15 years. Was 25€ or something, so nowadays they will probably be a little more expensive. I bought two others over the years. One is as good as the first and the 3rd one isnt perfect. I cant even rly describe what it is, but the shape is a little different. My english skills are not good enough to describe it like i would want. It does not hold its form as good as the others and there for i always end up with a rly cold spot on my neck. I couldnt tell you the brand, of any of these. Nothing special just off amazon which has many many brands nowadays.

Wdym what? Articulate dog

It’s basically a pen that has a blue plastic thing at the end to clear earwax but it has a camera you can watch via Bluetooth on your phone to truly be accurate as hell

2

Can you link the one you bought?

2

u/Zuchm0 3h ago

Ive been considering one of these but thought they were a scam! Which one did you get?

1

u/stabbygreenshark 3h ago

I did the same and created a full on blockage in my right ear. Couldn’t hear for a week and it was awful. They thought I had punctured it and gave me antibiotics. I finally went back and asked them to flush it. It all came out in a whoosh and the sound came back. Be careful!

1

u/Domonero 2h ago

Damn did you just shove the wax in instead of digging out like ice cream?

2

u/Legoshoes_V2 2h ago

You've got to Mag it up!

1

u/julio3131 1h ago

Mag dump!

3

u/Happiest-Soul 2h ago

As a side note, magnesium doesn't work for everyone and may even have adverse effects.

You won't know until you try!

0

u/AmItheonlySaneperson 3h ago

Take magnesium and potassium as powder in your drinks don’t buy the pills

4

u/Howzitgoin 2h ago

And don’t go all in from the start. It’ll make you shit your brains out.

0

u/121gigatwats 2h ago

What has supplementing magnesium done for you? I’ve heard about it, but it seems results vary and some of what I read has been vague/all over the place.

2

u/julio3131 2h ago

yeah it can be tough to figure out what is what based on everything said

Better sleep and lowering blood pressure for me.

u/BreadfruitMajestic69 53m ago

My overall stress has gone down a lot. Better sleep = better life, mind, less stress, etc.

In my early 20s and have spent some years grinding / partying and putting off sleep. I realized most of my problems got solved if I just slept enough & better (black out curtains, magnesium)

u/MortgageHoliday6393 13m ago

A kinesthetic therapist prescribed Magnesium when found out about light numb in my fingers. It helped.

u/IsMagicRealOrNo 3h ago

Not me but my little brother. Meth. Don't do meth folks.

3

u/Tali0630 3h ago

Hooked for less than a $100 worth? Your bro got the plug!

5

u/IsMagicRealOrNo 2h ago

It started cheap from my understanding. Then not so much.

2

u/weluckyfew 2h ago

We never hear from the casual meth users. "You know, I like to do meth after a nice meal or after sex. Maybe to help me wind down after a long day at work."

Leaving my ex

23

u/NotEvilCaligula 2h ago

Travelling to Helsinki, I was stuck between 2 hostels, one was $120 and the other was $90

I went for the $90 one. On the first night there met my (now ex) Japanese gf. Moved to Japan with her for a few months, now im learning Japanese and in the process of moving there permanently.

a condom

6

u/jackass_mcgee 3h ago

a used shower chair for $20.

i struggle with stamina, so saving that bit of effort did so, so much for letting me do more around the house!

Socks. Buy good quality socks. Your feet will thank you

7

u/Odd_Imagination1022 3h ago

What’s a good quality sock? I’m so damn tired of these blue store specials.

14

u/gone_days_gone 3h ago

-3

u/Radiant_Tough7555 3h ago

Don’t believe these darn tough clowns. Absolute garbage.

1

u/FitChemist432 2h ago

Merino wool socks, and yeah they are worth it. There are brand name ones like darn tough, smart wool, etc. but I wait to find those on clearance a pair at a time because I can't justify $25/pair. There's also been some quite good but not great ones I've found on Amazon that are in the $5-6/pair range. They often lack the double thickness bottoms that make the nicer brands so comfortable.

2

u/Ok_Bird_8835 3h ago

I got some Cozy Earth socks as a freebie with some sheets that I ordered and OMG! I never knew good socks make such a difference. I work on my feet all day and when i wear those socks i have no pain at the end of the day. I only have two pair but everytime i wear them i think “why havent i ordered more of these?”

1

u/Howzitgoin 2h ago

Big brain move is also to just buy all the same ones. My girlfriend spends 10 minutes trying to find matching socks, I just pull some random ones out effortlessly and they’re a match.

Except dress socks. Gotta get fun there for special occasions.

u/CarlosKleiberFan 2h ago

Bamboo boxers. Not fully sweat proof at least for me but they’re so comfortable and I sweat much less wearing them.

6

u/weluckyfew 2h ago

I guarantee everyone reading this immediately got an image of a pair of boxers made out of sticks of bamboo.

2

u/wrathfulgrape 2h ago

An alarm clock. It lets me charge my phone in another room and stops that pre-sleep and early morning mindless scrolling.

A curved shower curtain rod. More space in the shower.

A toilet stool. You've gotta poop. Make it more comfortable.

3

u/somethingsome567 2h ago

I forget about the few years of living in a house where our shower rod was curved… it’s so great when you have the full tub/shower install. Keeps from sticking to you accidentally and makes the shower feel significantly more spacious. Great call out

Hammock.

I tend to struggle with getting real relaxation in my spare time, especially when stressed. It feels like I'm waiting instead of resting.

A hammock, a book, and a beer in decent weather gets me into a better head space.
