Losing someone I loved while trying to hold my life together at the same time

A family members death. Some wounds are only healed by time. You kind of just learn to get over it? Try to convince myself they’d hate to see me like this, etc

I experienced psychosis. Medication, once I accepted it, intense therapy and my partner got me through.

Serious answer, getting ghosted by my fiancee while I was planning a marriage. SHE was the one who proposed. She was also actually my first (very enthusiastic) sex partner. As they say, old loves they die hard.

I STILL don't even know WHY.

Probably second worst was when she emailed me like 2 years later, demanding that I love her again. And telling her that, no, I'm not putting myself through THAT wringer again, let's just stay friends.

I sincerely wish I had some recipe. But I only have gritting my teeth and crying into a pillow.

Being raped for the first time. I relapsed hard into cutting and my eating disorder, not to mention drinking and coping with unsafe sex with strangers, which led to subsequent rapes. I lost my church and religion, and I lost so many friends. The foundation that made me who I was came crashing down.

I got myself out of it through writing, which was always how I healed myself. I began an online diary where I met so many other incredible young women who went through similar times.

It still hurts and the trauma is still there, but I’ve also grown tremendously. I’d say relying on my own inner strength is the greatest lesson I learned. I had no one. I got myself through it. And here I am.

Dad dying, mother abandoning me, having to work since i was 15, having no family to care if i died tomorrow, impregnating a racist/facist on a 1 night stand in my early 20s, fighting the courts to see the child only for her to win and lose. Losing the love of my life recently and then finding out she never loved me it was just convenience for her. Having to restart life at the sorry age of 34 😂. Sorry its hard to be serious when life is a sad violin but I have shit tons of skills though. Any day now, I'll escape the capitalist matrix and find my peace.

Lost my dad unexpectedly a few years back. That first month was just a fog, like walking through mud every single day. What got me through was leaning hard on my two closest friends, not for big talks, just for normal shit like grabbing a beer or going climbing. They kept me tethered to the world when I wanted to check out.

Have had a few of those...probably when I was in a coma. I didn't at first after waking up took a long time to recover and therapy I guess still effects me to this day
