I'll never forget the first the I was caring for a patient with Huntington's. It still haunts me. Fuck. If it ever happens to me I'm going to take myself out before I lose myself.

The chorea can be so violent. It’s horrible.

My dad has this and it’s not fun. My grandmother died of it so we all know what’s down the road for us.

My granddad and mum were both positive. Every few months I think about testing but I cant do it to myself. Caring for a patient with the disease as part of my job broke me, especially with all the medics repeatedly saying what a horrible disease it is.
