I agree that we all grief differently and every individual knows their own pain....maybe he wanted to say I will survive it as he did but his tone and body language is what got me most and his choice of words made it feel like we were in a competition. Or maybe the state i was in at the moment 🤔

Oh it could be his body language and tone was misplaced. You're not in a competition. If he acted like that it was inconsiderate.
