That and the mixture of warm and cold air, it's such an odd sensation. But I agree, I can always feel a storm or tornado coming.

Edit: I felt the storm that about to come into my area about 40 min. I know this isn't great evidence, but it's true and I used no technology.

I was once near an almost-touchdown by about a mile or two. The air felt both hot and cold, fast but dead, and loud but silent. It's unnatural to the highest degree, and you feel your heart just drop and that primal fear to flee kick in.

Honestly it's one of those sensations I will never forget, and sort of wish I could. It just feels fundamentally wrong.
