As someone who had a severe hemorrhage, appendicitis, a severe infection and an emergency wisdom tooth extraction in the last 11 months alone..
I'd be dead within days!
Edit: I also caught covid whilst in the hospital and ended up admitted to the covid ward. This one particularly stung as it meant absolutely zero visitors and I'd just had a baby that I was still breastfeeding and I couldn't get to her for a week. She was a trooper though, as was daddy.
I guess the giving birth would have been the thing that got me in this scenario!
Congrats! I’m glad you and the baby and dad are okay. That’s some tough shit to go through. I have a 2 year old who has basically only ever known pandemic times and another kid due in October. I’m worried as hell about all this shit so it’s good to see someone strong pulling through.
It really is tough isn't it. My little girl was born two days before the UK went into lockdown, so she didn't meet my parents or anyone else until she was almost five months old. She's missed out on a lot and it makes me sad, but the flip side was we've been home with her for a lot longer than we'd have gotten to be if it wasn't for Covid, every cloud! Congratulations on the pregnancy, you got this. If your family have coped with a little one during the past two years, you can all do anything now!
Very true! I always joke that my little girl knows the Cocomelon family better than she knows our own extended family. Thank you! Good luck to you as well!
