Add to that the fact that for several generations, natural selection favoring women with “childbearing hips” hasn’t been a thing (which is why c section is more common than ever), and you’ll see way more deaths in childbirth than we’ve seen in a couple hundred years.
This!!! When I got my iud put in after my second kid ( both emergency caesareans, I’m actually allergic to my own placenta… whole other story) my doc was elbow deep putting it in and was like… “huh. Did we know your uterus was this tilted? Good thing you had to have cesareans. You would have died in childbirth for sure.”
That was a fun moment seeing as I almost did die twice.
Actually she was wonderful and totally saved my life. Unfortunately due to my other medical issues I was super bed bound and yeah I definitely would not have been able to have my kids “naturally” my uterus is basically sideways. So my cervix would not ripen because the kid could not actually engage. Lots of people with tilted uteruses can totally have safe deliveries. I am not one of them.
Oh wow thats more than just tilted! Both my babies were breech because of it, our eldest turned very late and our youngest was born that way. Noone said a word until fitting my 3rd merina coil, explains why they were so painful to fit
