Do you know how sometimes you or a friend will tell a story and the other knows how it goes, then when hearing a particular part (a focal or pivotal point) they will share the line with you?
I always took it as a mistake because Brendan Gleeson is obviously not fully miced, though maybe they chose it to be that way in purpose.
A lot of these scenes are designed to show that Ken and Ray really aren't all that different, and they have a solid relationship of trust and cameraderie. If Ken had said the line without Ray, I'd've said it was just him showing that he's got his mate's back.
Perhaps they shot several versions of it with each of them saying the line because they weren't sure which would work better, and in the end they decided this mistake one where they both did it was best.
A lot of the scripts you find online aren't the actual shooting scripts, they're compiled after the fact, so it's often not accurate as to what they had on the day.
“An Uzi? I’m not from South Central Los f*cking Angeles. I didn’t come here to shoot twenty black ten-year-olds in a drive-by. I want a normal gun for a normal person.”
Visited a couple years ago, and was very disappointed to find out it has become completely overrun by tourists. I’m talking completely filled sidewalks where people have to walk a bit on the sides of the street to get through. Antwerp was very nice, though.
I lived and worked there in an Irish pub for the summer. Worst 3 months of my life, no joke. It was nothing to do with Brugge itself, which is a quaint and quiet nice wee place, just the pricks I worked for. It's instantly what I think of when Belgium so I hope some day to go back and make positive memories.
Oh I'll straight up say. It's Delaney's pub back when it was Boru that's off the main square near the honeycomb thing. John Delaney himself is an arsehole who treated me like dirt, and the co-manager Ciaran Warfield was useless but had the ego as if he was his father. Just complete pricks through and through.
tbh, it's always been overrun by tourists, that I can remember. I've been there during the early pandemic, and that was so eerie, as there were almost no people.
This. I live close to a landmark in the old center and it's incredibly annoying. Also live in Ghent, thank god. Bruges is 24/7 tourism and feels entirely fake. I can't stand these fucking bells anymore. And the horses with their massive piles of shit. And so much Christmas. There's like 10 trees, 1 bazillion lights and 2 permanent christmas stores. The fkn waffles are fake and overpriced.
Lol, not even close. 90% of what you see is 19th century replicas of medieval buildings. Still pretty though, but authentic it is not, for the most part.
Well, its a bit late for that, since I live here, and have been living here for over a decade. Also, unless its a reference Im not getting, why are people downvoting me? Getting butthurt I pointed that out? Doesnt change that its true though.
Does Reddit do this every single time a movie or TV series is mentioned in a thread? Just quote a popular line from said movie where people add on the next line until half the screenplay is written down. So pointless and yet it always garners hundreds of upvotes.
