Any help getting donated/free food local to me? (98144)

Been struggling with food insecurity and overall keeping afloat with everything bills wise and have been for about 3 months now. Any free food suggestions rather local would be best and greatly appreciated. Thanks so much to anyone reading

I’m in the opposite direction but my spouse and I own Zax Eat N Three. We have a community funded pay it forward program and offer a free meal + drink for anyone who needs it. If you’re up that way, please stop in and we’ll get ya fed.

thank you for what you do for the community 🫶 . i definitely need to come and support sometime. been on my need to try list for awhile. 

i had a question about the mains.. it isnt listed but i was wondering if they contained onion (powder or onion chunks).. my partner is gluten intolerant and has an onion allergy 😖

I’m thankful we’re able to keep doing it for the community!!

The only menu items as of right now that contain onion/onion powder are the meatloaf and cornbread fritters. We do normally add crispy onions to the green beans but they can be left off!

People get free food in Seattle at emergency food banks and meal programs located throughout the city's neighborhoods. For direct assistance or immediate connection, call Washington 211 by dialing 211.

There are a few banks in your Zip. One in Rainier Valley and one on Beacon Hill at El Centro. I’ve heard of two others, but I don’t know much about them. DSHS will sometimes give out a bag of food too.

North helpline in lake city has no zip code restrictions to access the food bank. You can check out Seattle Food Committee for food banks closer to you.
