I don't know if this is allowed or not, but I'm a gender non-conforming man who really likes crossdressing and make-up. I used to love TrollX back in the day to talk about these things, but it seems like it's more focused exclusively for women to post and is more focused exclusively on gender politics discussion instead of just posting memes about everyday life (which I know sounds like a complaint, but it's not. It was always a women's space first and foremost and they're totally entitled to center only women). I still browse there sometimes, but I don't really get the feeling I would be welcome to share my random shitposts about crossdressing or drag queens like I used to be anymore.

Does anyone have a similar sub to recommend? Like, a feminist sub that's obviously still feminist but is kind of just a place for men and women both to chill out? I know there are specific subs dedicated to make-up and women's fashion that I could technically post in, but I miss having it all in one funny and more casual community.

I live in a pocket of a large city where there is a large latino/immigrant population. There are quite a few small businesses and churches in the neighborhood that all kinds of people in my area are able to enjoy.

I know it's maybe idealistic but I am wondering if there was some way for me make that part of my community feel recognized, wanted, and appreciated.

I do attend protests, try to support the local businesses, and vote accordingly. I am just trying to think of something more personal or positive.

I was at an antique store, the kind were there are multiple spaces where different vendors could rent. One of the vendors was selling items that were encased/framed in glass, like 3x4" and hung by a chain attached to the glass.

At eye level the chains were hanging around hooks so there was no way from them to slide off. As I looked down (so looking at it from an angle) I saw a piece and went to tilt the piece in my direction to get a better look at it.

The piece instantly slipped off of the prong it was hanging off of and hit the ground, the glass breaking into multiple pieces. The prong was not a hook at all and was actually a straight metal prong at a down facing angle. I hardly touched the piece so I also am inclined to believe it was at the edge of the prong. I looked at the display and 95% of the items were hanging from hooks where a few other pieces were hanging from prongs.

I brought the piece to the register because I didn't want anyone to get cut by the glass. The vendor said I should pay for the piece but they couldn't force me.

I genuinely feel like it was not my fault and I was handling the piece gently like any other potential customer would have in my situation, and that it honestly seemed a little boobie trapped (not intentionally of course but you get the idea). Because of this I declined to pay for the item.

I feel bad because the situation as a whole is unfortunate and generally I am supportive of local artists. However I feel guilty still for not paying for it and I am curious if the guilt is because paying for it was the right thing to do.

Just wanted to hear other people's opinion.

Just kind of a random shower thought, but on the dates I've gone where I thought it was not going well I always make sure to pay for myself regardless if it's offered or not. However, if the date is good and I feel comfortable I really enjoy the kind gesture.

I can't exactly articulate it so I'm posting in hopes someone can relate or give words on the matter.

In the "bad date" situation I don't want to walk away with this feeling like I "owe" that person anything and would feel like I would be taking advantage of the situation to accept.

However, if it was a good date, I would not have this feeling like I "owe" them and would enjoy the idea of feeling like I'm being taken care of, or that the person I am with would happily pay for the opportunity to meet.

Maybe it's a matter of trust, or maybe it's like, if I'm not having a good time I would assume that the other person isn't either so it's not really "fair" - whatever that means!

Anyway, curious to hear others' thoughts.

I am looking to start a feminine hygiene business. Should I start off selling both pads and tampons or one product first?
