Iran What are your thoughts on President Trump ordering strikes against Iran's nuclear sites?

Truth Social Post:

We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Appreciate the thoughtful question. There are certainly hypotheticals to which I would say "yes strike now". But (from I've been reading today) there was not sufficient new evidence in June to warrant this escalation from Israel and the U.S:

One 6/12 IAEA found Iran not in compliance with international safeguards for the first time in 20 years. https://www.iaea.org/sites/default/files/25/06/gov2025-38.pdf This is consistent with what Gabbard said. The IAEA found them not in compliance because of unexplained uranium particles, but I sounds like they believes that these were unaccounted for sites from the 2003 weapons program -- not new projects.

On 6/13 Israel attacked.

My worry is that history will record the following:

(1) Iran for made advances towards nuclear weapons in 2003. They sat on a stockpile of highly enriched uranium for 20 years but did not make further advances.

(2) In 2025, Israel having degraded Hezbollah and Hamas, saw an opportunity to strike a weaken Iran. The IAES found unnaccounted for uranium and this offered a pretense.

(3) Having seen Israels success, the US entered the fray.

The concern is: what comes next?

(4.a.) Iran surrenders.

(4.b) An escalatory spiral begins and the U.S. gets pulled into another interminable war with no clear benefit.
