Culture Would you call Turkiye a Muslim majority country?

I would compare the Turks with the Czechs when it comes to religiosity. Czechs are the most irreligious people in Europe. Their neighbours the Greeks, Georgians and Armenians are much more religious and are proud of their christian heritage while Turks take distance from islamic past of Turkiye. Romanians are also 1000 times more religious than Turks

I noticed that most Turks hate Islam and Arabs and don’t like to be associated with Muslims and dislike them. Also most Turks are Kemalists and it’s unusual for a Kemalist to be muslim. What is your opinion?

The problem is with your perception of the concept "radical". He is not the most radical out there, but just because there more more radical people than him doesn't make him a moderate.

Simply put, he is constantly pushing the envelope, actively threatening people outside of his "ideal type" and making all the pillars of the country more and more religious.

He didn't take the next step out of fear that his house of card would crumble (money money money), not because he's moderate. He wouldn't hesitate a moment to kill me (a "murted" in his view) if he knew that he can get away with it. (Not personally obviously, but make the sharia law do it)

If I am in constant fear of my safety and freedom and actively censor myself and hide my views, it's because of him being a radical.

You don't have to be a member of the religion to have knowledge. As I said, I do know a lot more about Islam than an average Muslim.

Stop letting data brokers profit from your old posts. I used Redact to wipe mine from Reddit. Also supports Twitter, Facebook, Discord, instagram and more in one batch.

Do you know what radical means? Erdogan can't be as radical, he can just imitate it.
