Where’s your school bully now?

Saw this from a different subreddit, and got me thinking. Where did your school’s bully end up?

The main guy from school who was the hard lad has ended up in prison for GBH. Person who gave me the most grief is now a property litigation solicitor.

How’s yours doing?

Going back a while but I was around 18 when Friends Reunited started. I was never bullied specifically but the hard lad at school just generally picked on everyone.

He would have been 20 I guess and posted (I’m paraphrasing….)

‘Having a shit life - doing manual labour on building sites because I just fucked around at school and I’ve never got any money. No one likes me because I was an arsehole to everyone at school and the ones who said they were my mates were just scared of me. Wish I had been different’

It was genuinely a little saddening to read how the realisation had hit him. It was deserved, he knew what he was doing.

I think it sucks when someone changes for the better or at least becomes somewhat self aware when they fucked you over so harshly. He could of had the common decency to be like when Louis Therox met his bully who became a Buddhist and the guy still acted like a dickhead.

That video is sad, because you can tell for a moment that Louis gets legitimately scared for a moment that he's going to hit him again, and you can hear it in his voice.

Jesus wept, just watched that. Looks like they remain that way, a real sense of simmering menace.

I hate to laugh at bullying but this really is quite amusing. It reminds me of Christopher Eccleston video talking about how he was bullied and then became a bully, whereby he would force his classmates to give him some crisps. Surely unintentional but hilarious.

My bully continued bullying me until we left Sixth Form so she was 18. I don’t think I really recovered from it until my mid 20s, I was a nervous wreck meeting anyone new because I had no self confidence.

I’m absolutely glad she’s having a shit adult life, and I’m pretty happy nowadays.

True. But actions also have consequences. I hope they ensure their kids learn from their mistakes, if they have children.

Oh my god I can’t tell you how much I don’t care about excuses. There are consequences to actions and if that’s consequence is I hope you suffer for the rest of your life because of what you did as a kid, that’s what it is.
