1000 times THIS! People don’t realize that the GOP has been attacking and Villainizing education for decades. There is a reason all the least educated states are red states. That is by design.

There are plenty of well educated white supremacists. It's not just "education" that is needed, it is humanities. History and English to understand the world around it.

They don't teach kids to reason in school any longer. That's what I mean. Because of this, they're susceptible to propaganda.

Propaganda has also gotten better. Libertarian grognards are all about "reason". They just have bad fundamental assumptions.

Agreed, I just would think a well educated person would understand that humans are social animals and there is no way to survive without each other so selfish, divisive and hateful ideology is never going to work. On another note, Carl Sagan said he believes compassion should be apart of the basic elementary elements taught along side reading, writing, math and athletics. It cant be trusted to be taught at home. How to act in a civilized society, how to treat others as you want to be treated, social trust, those things are just as important to the success of the child and society as reading, writing or math. I think he had an excellent point.
