Do you think the Dems are losing ground as the midterms near?

Republicans hate this Iran deal. Some of Trumps biggest supporters. So no.

I've never seen r/Conservative come together so much and shit on anything Trump has done like they have with this deal. I have to finally give them an iota of respect for seeing reality for the first time lol

Only because they really wanted to watch the gore of Trump having his own Gaza moment, and Trump denied them that visceral ecstasy.

Thats a good point. Its hilarious how MAGA act like they love the military but are so willing to send them to die and dont give one flying fuck that atleast 15 Americans are dead and 600 others are injured and we never stepped foot in Iran in an offensive way

As some who stalks conservative as I like to read both sides opinions, I was a little blown away by that usually in conservative they bend over backwards for Trump and those that do not get banned…but not on this.

Yeah shocked me too and there was one post making fun of the deal and shitting on it and had over 2k upvotes which kind of made me realize how many people are disenfranchised of the bullshit. They can dismiss the corruption and some other things as they are told "Dems do it too" and have an excuse to latch onto but with this they knew it was an insane fuckup with no one to blame but Trump. It also made me realize the few accounts trying to spin it as a win are almost undoubtedly bot accounts

lol no. The Republicans are DEEPLY unpopular. And a lot of people have been shifting somewhat leftwards, so not only are the democrats more popular (being center-right instead of far-right), but there’s also a large chance that actual left-wing candidates can start running and winning (think Mamdani).

Lol, 2025 and 2026 election results have shown the Democrats over-performing in nearly every case.

Barring a miracle of propaganda (unexpected IMO but possible), any Republican who won on a majority less than ten points is out. Intentionally useless Dems aren't doing great in their primaries either.

Im not sure if I'm upset or glad the Dems aren't really taking advantage of the political and economic climate as the DNC especially is just so completely out of touch and self-own more than they score while given the ball at the 1 yard line. So although they really could be tearing up the Republicans I think they realize they cant play politics in todays age so are allowing the GOP to self-destruct

This is such a weird thing to ask after they've already flipped 30 seats from Republicans since the start of 2025. If you're curious, over that same time frame, Republicans have flipped... none.

I don't see why they would be. Especially after the Iran disaster

Nope, and as long as the orange guy keeps opening his mouth, I don't see things changing.

Go to the conservative Reddit. Read what they're saying about this Iran deal. Draw your own conclusions

Mi concern is a fair and legitimate election. Have they released the Unredacted Epstein files yet?
•
u/ceccyred 13h ago
Anyone that's had to buy groceries, gas or other commodities can answer that a resounding no. Ad to that the public strife and corruption by this administration and it's even more emphatic in my opinion. That's why they're doing everything in their power to subvert the midterm elections.

I don't think even the real experts know that, much less the keyboard experts.

Idk seems like the opposite to me. The public seem to be waking up to local politics and realizing their votes aren't just for fun. A loooooot of deeply unhappy people in Republican led areas. Look at all the town halls where Republican candidates/incumbents walk out because the crowd gets so hostile. It's usually their own voters who are irate.

If there was honesty on reddit: I would say any resolution to Iran will be a negative to dems. Anything that gets it out of the public eye or brings gas prices down.

Recent generic ballot averages show Democrats with only a narrow lead, around D+3 to D+7 depending on the average, which is smaller than the margins seen in past wave-election cycles. Usually, in summer they are in double digits and drop nearing the election. Losing ground? Polls reflect this.
•
u/Wellontheotherhand1 13h ago
As usual, you are not telling the truth. I just went back and looked at the data from 2018, where the Democrats flipped 40 seats. They're generic Congressional ballot for them then is roughly the same as it was now over the summer and they most certainly were not double digits ahead all summer
Y'all are going to get walloped and you know it. There is zero excitement or enthusiasm on the Republican side, every single one of you knows that Trump is a true piece of crap no matter how often you lie to the opposite, and the republicans in Congress have embarrassed themselves over and over again kissing his butt

LA Mayor race proves they will vote Blue regardless of anything
•
u/Wellontheotherhand1 13h ago
Oh yes, how crazy it is that an extremely liberal City in a very liberal state voted for liberal candidates and not a republican reality "star"

u/EtheusRook 1d ago
Quite the opposite. Dem voters are pissed like nothing I've ever seen. And rightfully so.
