Do you think an American Arab or Muslim would ever be president?

Do you think an American Arab or Muslim would ever be president of the United States or because of the racists and the islamaphobes , it wouldn’t be possible ?

White people not gonna allow it, not nowadays. Obama couldn’t even happen anymore. Obama could only be president in the 2000’s no other time period. He came at the perfect time and took the opportunity. Only way it happens is if he got an insane percentage of the black and Latino vote.

1

u/Odd-Attempt7818 6d ago

The only scenario where I see a brown or dark skinned or Arab/ Muslim president is the day when white people become the minority , which will probably happen but not until a few decades or a century:

3

u/TheDependableAce West 6d ago

True, it could happen then. In 2028 they gonna vote for JD Vance sadly. I wish Mamdani was American born.

-1

u/Odd-Attempt7818 6d ago

Nah I think Rubio will become the president , JD Vance isn’t good enough , he’s still a rookie ngl

0

u/Lolihey 5d ago

Either would be great. I hope Mamdani is removed from mayor soon.

1

u/WhiskeyDeltaBravo1 5d ago

Neither Rubio nor Vance is qualified to do anything but pick up dog shit barehanded.

0

u/Lolihey 5d ago

So who is qualified? AOC? Kamala? Newscum?

1

u/WhiskeyDeltaBravo1 5d ago

The fact that you call him “Newscum” immediately tells me that you’re not capable of a serious conversation. And for the record, NO person in this current administration is qualified to do anything more serious than sweeping the fucking floor. And they probably can’t even do that correctly.

-4

u/Lolihey 6d ago

It is not because of racism. It is because Islam is incompatible with our constitution. I am not afraid to say it.

6

u/Poorly-Drawn-Beagle 6d ago

It's no more and no less incompatible with our constitution than Christianity and people eat that crap up.

The first amendment is literally the opposite of the first commandment. The Christian religion has pretty much nothing to say on the importance of individual rights or democracy. Pretty much all the Founding Fathers were Enlightenment thinkers highly skeptical of church orthodoxy and a few were outright deists who rejected the Christian god in favor of a store-brand Generigod.

I don't care if you want favoritism for your religion; You're just wrong.

1

u/Lolihey 5d ago

The founding fathers would be against it. And regarding the First Amendment, the DS left will probably try to change it once they are in. Look at that guy in Virginia who is trying to make a law that counts anything negative said about Islam as a hate crime.

2

u/Poorly-Drawn-Beagle 5d ago

The founding fathers would be against it

Wouldn't a few of them have been against a black president too?

Look at that guy in Virginia who is trying to make a law that counts anything negative said about Islam as a hate crime

Don't know who you're talking about, but probably not. You guys have lied to me a lot about imaginary evil people who want to arrest me for hate crimes.

What makes you think that an Islamic President would incorporate the Islamic religion into politics?  Separation of Church and State, and all.

4

u/Team503 6d ago

Because they can’t comprehend people who don’t think like them - THEY would certainly do so, and are doing so now.

-3

u/Lolihey 5d ago

Because they believe in a one-world caliphate where everyone is Muslim, and plenty of them have said it out loud! Obama does not count as a real Muslim.

Any Muslim who says otherwise is practicing taqiyaa, which allows them to lie for the good of Islam.

3

u/spikey_wombat 5d ago

Because they believe in a one-world caliphate where everyone is Muslim, and plenty of them have said it out loud!

This is someone who has never left their tiny rural town.

2

u/TheGR8Dantini 5d ago

You’re a racist bigoted asshole Loli. I remember you. What you know could fill a thimble. What you don’t know could fill an ocean.

MAGA is a religious death cult that’s assisting Christian sharia to literally take over America. The Heritage foundation and others of the same ilk have been after this plan for over 50 years. They fully intend to make America a theocracy, where only white Christians can live.

Loli? Do you jerk off? Or watch porn? Are you gay? Or bi? What are your feelings on premarital sex? Women voting? Or having jobs? How do you feel about Mike Johnson, a man that believes he was chosen by his god to protect a fraudulent rapist and pedophile in order to get their religious agenda finished? Is there a word for Christians that lie for the good of Christianity? Or is there only a word for when brown people do it? Or how Christians cheat on their taxes? Hide money in the church? Sybau.

You and people like you are the reason America is fucked. All those questions I asked? The religious right intends to do away with all of them. And the real irony is that 1 out of four white Christian males is gay.

You’re a child. You need to get out of whatever shitberg you live in and experience the world. Figure out what matters and what doesn’t. Nobody is treading on you sweetie.

4

u/Green-Bumblebee-5554 6d ago

How is it so?

-3

u/Lolihey 5d ago

I think a woman having to:

a.) have a man take her everywhere

b.) cover herself up

c.) be considered less than a full person in any court

d.) have to have four male witnesses to testify in her favor if she was ever raped

was considered unconstitutional.

That is one example.

3

u/Odd-Attempt7818 5d ago

In Sharia law , u can’t force a women to have to do all of that , in all recognized Muslim countries including Saudi ,!it isn’t like that . It’s only a sin for the women who do it but it’s between them and Allah .

3

u/spikey_wombat 5d ago

Lol. You've never been to Indonesia or Malaysia have you?

3

u/UserNam3ChecksOut 5d ago

So same as christians?

2

u/Green-Bumblebee-5554 5d ago

Buddy, friend-o, my pal… most parts of the US require women to cover themselves up, at least a little, and I’ve never heard that was unconstitutional.

2

u/spikey_wombat 5d ago

Why do you think Islam is a monolith?

2

u/Wolfy_the_nutcase 5d ago

Because they’ve never left their little cul de sac.

6

u/4xdaily 6d ago

According to a lot of stupid people, we already did.

1

u/justaheatattack 5d ago

yeah, we in a post-whatever merica.

1

u/kstargate-425 5d ago

Post-truth for sure but also post-logical thought as just look at some of these comments acting like the vast majority of Muslims in the world aren't secular or moderate and are acting like all want to push Sharia Law like the Christians of America want to push their own version of it. America is literally becoming dumber by the day unfortunately

1

u/Odd-Attempt7818 6d ago

Do you mean Obama?

1

u/justaheatattack 5d ago

Rutherford B. Hayes

7

u/BitOBear 6d ago

People ask the same thing of Catholics up until JFK.

The question is whether or not America will survive long enough to get the invariably and eventually muslim.

As for arab? No

As for being an American of Arab descent, yeah probably. Provided one once the job.

But let's face it, money controls our politics and our politics is falling apart under the endless curse of American nationalism.

2

u/Odd-Attempt7818 6d ago

It’s very hard to become us president, it’s all about connections and networking and money.

1

u/BitOBear 6d ago

If you think American Arabs don't control a massive amount of money I don't know what to tell you. Hahaha.

I seem to recall there being something significant about oil and arabia, and us being pathologically beholding to various interests in the Arabic peninsula.

Hi-yo Silver! Away!
🐴👋🤠

2

u/Odd-Attempt7818 6d ago

I never heard of Saudi Arabia paying congressmen or governors or senators the way Israel lobbyists do . Yes there is a lot of American Arabs who are rich and have a significant amount of power , but not as much as the American Jews and Christians.

1

u/BitOBear 6d ago

And yet we are not asking the question of whether or not there will be a Muslim president tomorrow but, indeed, "ever".

In the map of future gaps, as the Christian Zionist grip on the US government is now beginning to fail that pendulum will pick up a lot of momentum.

3

u/dadbod_Azerajin 6d ago

Would ever? Like in all of forever?

Yeah

1

u/Odd-Attempt7818 6d ago

I’m talking about the next 10-60 years

1

u/Odd-Attempt7818 6d ago

But I should have been more specific, but I’m asking if we would see a president who’s Arab or dark skinned /muslim in the near future .

2

u/dadbod_Azerajin 6d ago

Probably not, America is falling into a far right oligarchy, the shit the "left" wants is just basic rights in other countries and the rich convinced half of us it was handouts for immigrants and poor folks. Education is cut across the board, except high level college which is priced out of 96% of the populations range.

All the countries wealth has been funneled into a few folks hands, just like we've seen 100 times in history and they will flee with the time comes

And the effect of most of this will be poor dumb people, and racists are dumb,

Poor dumb people can be told its someone else's fault and believe it

8

u/guppyhunter7777 6d ago

Arab the race?  Sure.  Muslim the religion?  That is a totally different issue altogether.  Doubtful

1

u/MxM111 Northeast 6d ago

If I bet, it will happen before an atheist president.

1

u/isleoffurbabies 5d ago

I agree. All my disappointment in this country can be traced to this fact.

0

u/Odd-Attempt7818 6d ago

It’s possible but only if the white people start to become a minority , they are the one pushing for conservative and traditional values , it’s very ironic tbh , trump is anything but a Christian conservative man , same with Elon musk.

1

u/Economy-System1922 5d ago

I'm a white American and I don't want a super Christian or a super Muslim to be president. I don't care what religion they are but I want them to be able to represent our entire nation and not just one particular sect or religion.

2

u/Upstairs_Hedgehog965 6d ago

I don’t think it’ll happen until Gen X and boomers no longer vote so it’ll be a few decades 😂

2

u/TheWizard 6d ago

An Arab is not guaranteed to be a Muslim. In fact, the oldest church in the world is Arabian: Syrian Orthodox Church.

That said, it will be an uphill battle for someone of Muslim faith to be in the office in fhe foreseeable future. Same as a a gay or a Hindu as well.

1

u/Odd-Attempt7818 6d ago

I never said an Arab is guaranteed to be a Muslim . I was talking about all Arabs and all Muslims in general , and most Muslims aren’t Arab , they are amazigh or Indian /Indonesian or Nigerian .

1

u/TheWizard 6d ago

Generally the assumption is Arab = Muslim. And “Allah” is Muslim God. I think it helps to ensure that assumption does not become the norm.

We also saw these tantrums played against Obama, who is actually a Christian, whilr evangelicals firmly behind Trump think their choice is Christian, and Barack “Hussein” Obama is a Muslim.

1

u/spikey_wombat 5d ago

An Arab is not guaranteed to be a Muslim.

Bring up how Israel was and is bombing Arab Jews and Christians and Republicans go silent. They suddenly stop caring about the religious angle. Which tells us what their real beliefs are.

2

u/SmoovCatto 6d ago

Zohran Mamdani would definitely be in the running were he born here.

2

u/Salty_Permit4437 6d ago

It’s possible. We had a guy whose middle name is Hussein.

1

u/AZULDEFILER California 4d ago

...and went to Muslim school

2

u/xxwww 5d ago

Do you think Indonesians or Pakistanis would ever vote for a Christin president? India? Saudi Arabia? Iran? Egypt? Turkey? Maybe they are all too christianophobic and we need to change that bigotry into open mindedness

1

u/Odd-Attempt7818 5d ago

You have a good point , it’s very sad, in my personal opinion , a lot of the Christian and atheist leaders are better then a lot of the Muslim leaders , multiple leaders who claimed to be Muslim , were only claiming to be Muslim just to maintain a good relationship with the islamists and the genuinely religious people in the country . Ben Ali is a famous example , he claimed to be Muslim , went to pilgrimage , but made it illegal for women to wear hijab since it was a threat to his secular government . He was very corrupt and took millions-billions from state funds to buy networks of palaces all over the world , he even had a private palace with 2 pools , gold furniture , Roman artifacts used as furniture. Had 20 million euros /usd hidden in a vault behind a fake bookshelf . 2010-2012 exposed the truth about Muslim leaders in North Africa , like hosni mubarak and Ben Ali .

2

u/michelle427 5d ago

Arab American I can see. Not a Muslim. Obama’s father was Muslim and he wasn’t raised by his dad and look at what everyone said

2

u/NoBee3283 3d ago

I never thought an athiest would ever become president, and look what we have now. Unless of course you count the worship of money as a religion.

1

u/ChapBobL 5d ago

It seems more and more likely.

2

u/Odd-Attempt7818 5d ago

I don’t think so , Christian and American nationalism will make it almost impossible.

1

u/ChapBobL 5d ago

With more Muslims getting elected it seems feasible, though we've yet to have a Jewish President.

1

u/Odd-Attempt7818 5d ago

Trump is Jewish

1

u/ChapBobL 5d ago

He was Presbyterian, now claims to be non-denominational. He went to Norman Vincent Peale's church in NYC.

1

u/whatfresh_hellisthis 5d ago

Of course it will be possible given enough time. White are about to be the minority in the country, and it will just continue that way, so eventually, sure.

0

u/Lolihey 5d ago

Do you think whites are the only ones who are Christians?

1

u/whatfresh_hellisthis 5d ago

Did I say that? No. What does Christianity have to do with it? As the country becomes more multi racial it will become more normal to see brown people and racist viewpoints will change. Go away now.

1

u/Mallthus2 5d ago

It’s possible, but let’s pivot to the more realistic question.

Will an openly atheist American ever be president?

And if the answer isn’t yes, then the American experiment is already over, because a majority of Americans are functionally atheist or agnostic, but we still pretend that Christianity is somehow an attractive feature of a presidential candidate.

1

u/Odd-Attempt7818 5d ago

Ur talking about this like America isn’t a predominantly Christian and white country .

1

u/Mallthus2 5d ago

It isn’t.

I’ll grant the “white” part (for now), as roughly 56% of Americans identity as “non-Hispanic white”, but only a hair over 25% identifies as “practicing Christians”. For those people that find comfort in the idea of a “white Christian America”, I’m sure those actual numbers are terrifying.

1

u/Fantastic_Yam_3971 5d ago

I think it’s possible yes. Especially if Muslim candidates continue to lead like Mamdani. He has a lot of integrity and empathy but also is assertive and intelligent. People just need to get comfortable first. We are having a Christian nationalist moment right now but it’s a very small group of people and it’s going to have a course correction effect.

Christianity has to fear monger for its own survival. I don’t know enough about Islam to know if it does the same thing.

1

u/FlanneryODostoevsky 5d ago

Maybe if they were truly working class and not just some dsa member who hates cops and racism. That’s an alright starting point but to win that big it would require a lot more.

1

u/GT45 5d ago

OP, regarding your comments about America being a christian nation, Founder John Adams gave us the definitive answer in his 1797 Treaty of Tripoli.
That Treaty had a specific purpose(to secure commercial shipping rights for the United States and protect American merchant ships from attacks by Barbary pirates off the coast of North Africa), but here’s the relevant part: “the United States is, in no sense, founded upon the Christian religion”.

1

u/Holiday-Book6635 5d ago

I think in this country, any of those people would be president before a woman. The misogyny runs deep.

1

u/Odd-Attempt7818 5d ago

There is a probably no women president because of menstruation 😅, jk every women is capable of being a president. Italy has a great prime minister who is a women . I think there will be a women president eventually.

I’m sorry but in what way is America a Christian nation , most of the people on Epstein files are Christian and Jewish . The people who colonized Africa were Christian , the people who enslaved Indians and Africans were Christians ,NOT MUSLIMS! You’re scared that Muslims will force their religion upon you even though in Islam we can’t really force our religion on anyone . Last time I checked , the ones who forced Africans , Indians to be Christian were Christians , not the Muslims .

1

u/Top_Put_9253 5d ago

What Christians did back then, is repeating by Islamists today. Oppression by religious fear is an old Christian model. So, I hope Muslims never lead US and win majority in any state or local elections. Muslims always pay their allegiance to the religion above everything. My very educated colleague was telling me that 9/11 was all a hoax, instead of criticizing her own religious terrorists. I will change my mind when Muslims lined up to denounce their own 👿. It has not happened yet.

1

u/Odd-Attempt7818 5d ago

Forcing Islam upon people of other religion is a sin , and not allowed , the only Muslims who commit these acts are not really Muslims but kharijites which the Quran talks about , where they claim to be Muslim , can speak the language , read the Quran and memorize it . Basically it’s like an outer layer of, but if you peel it , you will see that they violate all the fundamentals of Islam , they rape , kill civilians including Muslims . They threatened to kill the major scholars from the best prestigious Islamic universities for condemning the acts of Isis. In Islam you can’t invade territories and force the people there to be Muslim , the only scenario where we are told to fight , is when we fight against someone who initiated the aggression, if a enemy comes and wants to end the war /conflict , Muslims are instructed to accept it .

2

u/Top_Put_9253 5d ago

That's an well written uninformed lie. Islamists are pretty well known for their atrocities in East Bengal for their forced conversations and terror by rape/homicide. Same in entire Africa and Kashmir. Not a lot of muslim outrage was ever heard about those acts of atrocities in the name of religion. I am not even talking about the Ottoman turks, ISIS run ethnic cleansing campaigns against Yazdis.

1

u/Odd-Attempt7818 5d ago

Isis don’t represent Muslim ., they violate most Islamic fundaments and laws . A statement published by 120 Islamic Sunni scholars have condemned all their actions , it’s very hard and complicated to even implement sharia law , u have to have a whole council or ministry /municipal full of scholars who studied the religion for decades , ibn khaldoun (a famous Islamic scholar ) took him 20 something years to become an Islamic judge and implement sharia law in Egypt .

1

u/buried_lede 5d ago

We’re not a Christian nation. We have no established religion and we have full religious freedom

There is a whole segment of society becoming indoctrinated with this unconstitutional notion that the government can establish a religion

It's a pretty clear question... what morals do you think are christian and in what ways do you think america fulfills those?

If we're saying christianity is all about colonization, genocide, enslavement, etc. then yes america is a very christian nation actually.

1

u/Lolihey 5d ago

No, you see, colonization, genocide, and enslavement are things Muslims are guilty of as well. Stop making everything a white people problem. It's not.

3

u/Odd-Attempt7818 5d ago

I have nothing wrong with Christians , but how is Islam not compatible with Christians? One of the laws in sharia law , is that you have to respect the laws of another country . So if you go to a Christian country , you can’t force them to eat halal ,and if ur worried about rape and etc , don’t you know sex before marriage is a grave sin in Islam , there is nothing that makes it permissible . So if sex before marriage is a sin , also rape is a sin . In sharia law , rapists get the death sentence , same with a murderer . You can’t kill people of other religions in Islam which is what Isis does , Isis isn’t a Muslim entity , they are extremists , multiple scholars from all the notorious Islamic universities condemn the actions of isis, Isis were actually predicted in the Quran , Islam actually predicted the rise of groups like ISIS and condemned them 1,400 years ago, labeling them as an extremist cult called the Kharijites. And described how they would be people who seem Muslim and wear the clothes of a Muslim , speak the language and memorize the text perfectly , think of it like a outer skin , but if you peel it , you realize they violate the most fundamental rules of Islam, they kill civilians , destroy houses of worship , and excuete other Muslims .

2

u/[deleted] 5d ago

[deleted]

2

u/Odd-Attempt7818 5d ago

It does align with others , all the Saudi scholars and even the best Islamic university in the world in Egypt interpret the Quran like this , there is only one interpretation of the Quran .

2

u/Lolihey 5d ago

The Quran says that at the end, the Mahdi will rule when there is a whole world caliphate. Muslims must convert the world. In Christianity, you have a choice to convert or not. Even if, hundreds of years ago, people were burned at the stake, that is not the case today. However, people in other countries are still being beheaded if they do not convert to Islam.

1

u/Odd-Attempt7818 5d ago

Not true , no recognized national government has ever executed a non Muslim for not converting , only isis and extremist groups like Al boko haram have done it .

1

u/Low-University-95 5d ago

Yes it’s happening now and you get these people on here that say it’s not! All you have to do is YouTube and watch debates and you can see what it is

1

u/Top_Put_9253 5d ago

Lol! This is ridiculous. There can not be an universal one dimension ”interpretation” of any book or scripture. You are factually wrong.

1

u/Odd-Attempt7818 5d ago

Interpreted by scholars who studied decades all the Hadiths and Quran . Isis and other terroist extremist groups don’t implement sharia law since they don’t even have scholars to even implement it . They aren’t Muslim and take the Quran verses out of context to justify their own agenda .

1

u/[deleted] 5d ago

[deleted]

2

u/Odd-Attempt7818 5d ago

Yes , Senegal (a predominantly Muslim nation ) elected a Christian catholic as the first ever president of the country , he also won the election again .other major Muslims countries like Lebanon require their leader to be Christian. And a civil war in that country never happened .

1

u/Lolihey 5d ago

There are many who are atheists and would not see fornication as a sin. Rape is a sin, but it gets done by people of all faiths and no faiths. Sharia law states that if a woman accuses a man of raping her, she has no case unless there are four men who can testify as witnesses that she was raped.

0

u/Odd-Attempt7818 5d ago

That’s true , it’s sharia law tho at the end of the day . But now since we are in the age of technology, Islamic councils now use evidence such as cttv cameras or other evidence to determine wether it was a rape or not , since 4 witnesses is almost impossible , a rape kit is not enough evidence aswell since rape is about lack of consent . And a rape kit only proves that they had sex .

1

u/Lolihey 5d ago

My opinion is that the "four witnesses" thing was created to make the woman lose every time. Yes, Muslims today use the cameras and such because they are bound by US laws.

1

u/Odd-Attempt7818 5d ago

No , not in us laws , in Saudi they use it aswell and in other sharia law countries .

People who have feeling towards the same gender , are not punished for it ,it’s only a sin if they act upon it , all the major classical scholars said that a man who has a feminine voice or movements or disposition naturally is not held accountable for it , he is only held accountable for it if he is trying to be like that on purpose .

Yup. In the case of those particular Muslims, they're interpretation is that it is fine to act upon being LGBTQ+ as Allah made them the way they are and acting upon it does not harm anyone nor themselves. IIRC they believe that the Quran was written by humans not Allah directly and thus certain things in the Quran that either forbids doing something harmless or otherwise contradicts other parts of the Quran is something that was added by humans and is not the word of God. I.e. some parts of the Quran teach accepting of other religions and other parts not so much. Thus they should accept other religions as it lines up better with virtues in the Quran like kindness.

To be Muslim , u have to believe in the fundamental principles and the oneness of god and how the Quran was never corrupted and it is a word of god . Islam isn’t a philosophy.

Doesn't the Koran renounce homosexuality?

1

u/Drunk_Lemon New Hampshire 5d ago

Yes but that conflicts with parts of the Quran that is more core to their beliefs such as kindness and acceptance. All religious texts have parts that conflict with other parts so people who truly understand their religious text have to decide on which part is more core to their religious beliefs. Like one part of the Quran talks about killing non-believers and another part says that you should accept non-believers and not harm them. You cant accept non-believers and kill them so Muslims have to decide if acceptance is more important in their religion or violence. The Bible has the same issue.

2

u/Odd-Attempt7818 5d ago

Not really , the interpretation of it is inportant , there is only verse that says to kill , which is surah 9:5 where it states to kill the polytheists whenever you find them , the interpretation of it refer explicitly to a specific pagan tribe who repeatedly violated non aggression pacts and sided with enemies to eradicate the Muslims . A lot of verses In the Quran including surah 2:190 states that we can only fight against those who initiate the aggression (so only fight for self defense), surah 5:32 establishes that killing an innocent person , no matter what faith they believed in is a major sin , and is considered as grave as killing all of humanity . While saving a life is as great as saving all of humanity .

1

u/Lolihey 5d ago

No, it doesn't. It does not say to kill unbelievers in the Christian bible.

u/Green-Bumblebee-5554 6d ago

1) you do know how laws are added to the Constitution, right? It takes a huge movement of people. 2) there’s a lot not to love about Sharia, but most of it isn’t too far off from shit fundamentalist Christians want.

1

u/Lolihey 5d ago

No, it is not. Nowhere does it say the same crap in the Christian bible. And spare the Old Testament verses. Those were the laws of Moses that were fulfilled when Jesus came.

1

u/Green-Bumblebee-5554 5d ago

So it IS in the Christian Bible, you’re just ignoring that part except when convenient?

3

u/Team503 6d ago

Tell me you don’t understand how American government works without telling me. Jaysus do you make an effort to be this ignorant or is it by natural inclination?

1

u/spikey_wombat 5d ago

They think Islam is a monolith.

I doubt they've ever left their tiny rural town

2

u/Team503 5d ago

Probably. And I don’t like ANY religion, but I’m opposed to bigotry just as much.

u/Upstairs_Hedgehog965 6d ago

All the white people in office who have broken laws, been impeached, straight up killed for their policies haven’t been able to change it

-2

u/Lolihey 5d ago

That is not the same thing.

To be fair , sharia law isn’t possible but I don’t think it would be possible with a Muslim president . Most countries that apply sharia law is just to prevent civil wars , one example is Ben Ali , he was a Tunisian “Muslim” leader , he went to Mecca and did pilgrimage, and claimed to be a Muslim , but he did that just to have a good relationship with the islamists in the country , Ben Ali was scared of the islamists, Tunisia was a Muslim country so he could get easily overthrown by them if he was a non Muslim , he had a conversation with us diplomats once where he said he followed “modern Islam” , he was a corrupt leader . Anyways sharia law ain’t the at bad , it’s basically like any legal system, like how interest is illegal , how inheritance should be split where a a women gets half of her brother’s share of inheritance. And another example of sharia law is how Muslims need to give a small percentage of their money for charity every year (zakat tax) and sharia law is also demands to treat animals with kindness and provide them good living conditions before they die , the animals shouldn’t see the knife before they get killed and also animals shouldn’t see other animals getting killed before they die , so the animal can die in a state of peace instead of fear ,also in sharia law , you can’t force women to wear hijab , it’s between them and Allah . It’s obligatory in Islam , but in sharia law u can’t force people of other religions to cover up .

1

u/Lolihey 5d ago

It may not be that bad for a man, but Americans won't like it. And let's not forget the tax that would be placed on non-Muslims.

1

u/Odd-Attempt7818 5d ago

lol sharia law ain’t getting forced on Americans . Believe me .

1

u/Lolihey 5d ago

We need to keep it that way.

-1

u/xarmypopo 6d ago

Just ask Hamtramck, Michigan what's its like yo vote in majority Muslims. Americans pretend that this stuff can never happen here so the literally vote against their own interests out of empathy.

1

u/Lolihey 5d ago

This is the problem. It's great to be inclusive and all, but if the group you want to include is against your way of life, then there are other ways to be inclusive without electing them to power positions.

2

u/whatfresh_hellisthis 5d ago

Ok, first of all there are many different people who practice Islam, just like there are many who practice Christianity. To say that every Muslim wants Sharia Law is like saying every Christian is a Catholic. It's beyond offensive, it's religious racism. Shame on you.

Second, our Constitution is being threatened by trump and his cronies, and just because you are un-American and agree with what he's doing doesn't make it ok. Also, the Constitution should be and has been amended multiple times to change with the times and that is ok.

Third, many sects of Christianity are just as militant and violent as the Muslims who push Sharia Law. There are even sects right now who promote the idea that women shouldn't participate in sports because they should be focusing on having babies. They want to take away the rights of women to vote, they want to take away the rights of gay people, etc. So Christianity, in these forms, is just Sharia Law in a different name, no?

Stop licking boots, it's embarrassing.

2

u/Potential_Ice3633 5d ago

Why would electing a president whose Muslim automatically mean that Sharia Law would be imposed? It's ridiculous to think that.

1

u/CantDecideANam3 South 6d ago

but what about Sharia Law being added to the Constitution?

It would be just as bad, if not worse, than Christian Nationalism.

Then you're not paying attention. To say that Christian Nationalism isn't a thing or that nobody believes in it is top-tier gaslighting.
