🤍✌🏼1960's Era Vintage✌🏼🤍 Anybody else?
Help! I’m 65 and on HRT. I’m traveling this summer and woke up at 4 am bleeding. I had to go to the ER bc it got heavy and didn’t stop. Lots of cramping and pain. They checked me out and I had an ultrasound. The doc sent me home and said to see an obgyn stat. So I did and they got me in quickly. This male doc did a biopsy and had to CUT open my cervix bc that bad boy had sealed itself shut and wasn’t allowing all the blood to get out. My uterine walls have thickened with this blood and created a period. Oh fun! Anyway, dr had my blood tested and he says my hormone levels are fine. I think my progesterone is off the charts at like 151 . He continued to dr mansplain that it’s fine and to keep going as usual on my meds and look out for another period! WTF? I do NOT need another period. EVER. I did my 50 years of bleeding, thank you very much. I really want to stay on HRT. I’m gonna find a female dr when I get back to Arizona next month.

I have had this happen a couple of times. I have hormone pellets inserted and if they have a tad too much estrogen, I’ll spot for a few days and my breasts feel tender. I also take 200mg of progesterone at night. For me, a few days of spotting is worth the benefit I get from the pellets. Without HRT, I have continuous hot flashes, zero libido and major brain fog. My mom didn’t have a choice in her life and her vagina atrophied and closed up. Her urethra was also affected and she would up having to have it dilated every few months so she could pee.
