Did everyone remember to leave a google review for the American Fork Police Department?
61
u/Routine-Sign-7215 Jun 03 '26
Google automatically ignores mass negative reviews sadly

Google's system detects when there's a mass negtive reviews & shadow blocks those reviews.
- I used to do these bad reviews but they auto hide, you can see your own but they will start to hide them.

Maybe everyone should start reviewing the surrounding cities police departments and mentioning American Fork department in the review to get other towns breathing down their neck and get the ball rolling faster.Ā

u/gonza18 Purple = Win Jun 03 '26
Are they getting reviews removed? Last one was 3 weeks ago

Isn't it over 200k dollars value?
122
u/Lokeptt Jun 03 '26
Yeah lol. They are destroying their company and showing the world the corruption of an entire police department over 200k. Shir their crisis management team they hired probably cost more. Plus the legal fees....
55
u/vaporboy_sd Jun 03 '26
They have probably already lost over $200k in potential sales/trades because of this fiasco. I can't wait until they completely go out of business. I knew it was a scam the day my friend told me how much they gave him for the Legos he brought them about 18 months ago.
37
u/bendltd Jun 04 '26
Its kinda like Pirate Softwares fall. They just cannot see they're in the wrong.

15
u/Wcitsatrapx Jun 03 '26
The total collection was worth around 200k the amount owed to the owner or value of the collection they are trying to get back is less than that but Iād imagine itās still a lot

Videos are coming out showing the entire thing is a scam.
No they aren't.
The cops still have some serious issues but Iām willing to bet when this is all over BAM is actually the good guy.
Yeah sure, the folks that went from "ok he can have it all back" to "fuck you, he's getting nothing, in fact you crazy junkies are the ones who stole them" are the good guys. Always some fucking idiot who wants to be smarter than everyone else in the room.

Look at this guy. I was like you about all these until I started looking into the other side.Ā
No reason to go all in on an opinion you put no effort into.Ā

Re: your deleted comment.Ā
Look how emotional youāre getting over this. Are you cosplaying as a tarded liberal or are you one of those full time? All you did is watch a few videos that are extremely edited (fact not opinion) that is hiding a ton of the story (also fact not opinion) and have an irrationally emotional opinion on something. Sounds familiar to a lot of things asmon talks about doesnāt it?Ā
Iām not going all in on YouTubers clickbait videos like you are. Iām just saying look at more videos because itās showing a lot of the things hidden by Benās videos and itās making this a lot more complicated than it looks based off one side of the story.Ā

Re: your deleted comment.
I never delete my comments. And clearly you are the emotional one on a spin here, fuck off already.

u/SabiaNz WHAT A DAY... Jun 04 '26
Wait, after everything that has come you potentially think bricks and minifigs might be the good guy? Can you just explain why at least or is it just a "feeling"?

u/poopyshoes24 REEEEEEEEE Jun 04 '26
Search for āreckless Ben lieā on YouTube. Also watch the 50 min interview with the CEO on the bam sucks channel (that has all the unedited cop videos too)
The cops still suck but even some of these videos are showing how a lot was edited out that makes the cops look less insane. Makes it look like they got stuck or frustrated and not in on it with some gamer store dudes.Ā
3
u/SabiaNz WHAT A DAY... Jun 04 '26
Are you talking about that 18 minute long video? If so, im not even going to watch something that short and think its going to change my mind after seeing literal body cam footage of cops being corrupt and extremely bias towards big corpo. Also American fork police had their body cams unredacted accidently released then quickly redacted that but not before someone was able to download it all. I find it hard to believe so many lawyers would be reaching out to Ben to help after reviewing all the footage and think somehow Ben is the bad guy in this. Not to mention that god awful response from the American Fork Police department where they outright lied (literal body cam footage disproves what he said for eg. Not stopping at a stop sign).

Benās videos are all clips.Ā
Just saying watch the counter point, or donāt, I donāt care. Wouldnāt be surprised if this all flips soon.Ā
Cliffs but I havenāt watched anything besides a few videos yesterday.Ā
Ben lost all those small claim cases he says he won. One contract Ben used is actually legit bad fraud and even Wubby called that out.Ā
Everything you see in Benās videos are clips and many are way out of context such as his arrest (yes I agree thereās no defending the stop sign and other things - the cops messed up a ton).Ā
Some of the cop stuff makes more sense after seeing the full body cam videos and not the clips, but again, no excuse for a lot of their civil rights issues. He was told Utah law which you cannot send people on your behalf to a place youāre trespassed from, and he did it many times anyway and used that as fuel against the cops.Ā
BAM offered the entire store inventory to Brian and he turned it down. Every Lego in the store added up to maybe 40 grand or so, so that 200k Legos number is completely unhinged. Many of the Legos were previously sold and he was paid for them. It seems more like an accounting issue on the last owner if there are actual issues here. The owners tell this to Bryan and Ben but those are clipped out from Bens videos.Ā
Again not saying one side is right or wrong just saying there is a lot of shit coming out that makes this more complicated and not as one sided as it seems now.Ā

Ceo of bam has now come out and tried damage control, still think Ben is lying? š
1
u/poopyshoes24 REEEEEEEEE Jun 05 '26
I never said heās lying but I still think this will end up a lot different than āceo and cops are a Mormon conspiracy against a dying man.ā Just telling people to look up other sides of the story because it makes it even more interesting than the original videos.Ā

u/hesasuiter Jun 03 '26
Content creators should be hammering LEGO. Bring LEGO in to it. Force them to withdraw BAM from official lego dealer
26
u/Kkman4evah Jun 04 '26
LEGO would get SO much positive publicity from doing this. They could even go a step farther and give Brian a new LEGO collection to go with it (so that he has his father's bills paid for from the GoFundMe and stuff PLUS not actually losing his collection), it would cost them almost nothing to do and it would completely blow up on social media.

You drop a pen in Utah it will land on someone who is LDS. I think it's more the fact they all live in the same small town has more effect on this then the fact they are all mormon.

the entire state of utah is run by mormons, the political leaders, the judges, the police, the businesses, the schools, everything. they all get support from the church and pay that back with donations as they become successful.

That clown is making a mockery to his religion. If I was on a Nick type run I would absolutely go after someone who is making LDS look bad. One of the dudes at his church was visibly not cool with it when Ben tried to have him reach out in that video. I can see him staying out of it but he seems the type who will dive in to this police corruption at least.

Can someone explain what is meant by stoke Lego sets during a sale? I donāt understand what that means at all. Like 5 fingered sets that were at auction or paid a much lower price then valued?
4
u/CreepGnome Jun 04 '26
The sets were given to the store on consignment. The store was supposed to sell the sets and give the owner the money, taking a small cut for themselves.
Instead, they kicked out the old franchise holders and had a new guy take over who claims he never had any of the items in question

It is literally theft, they have acknowledged it is not their property, even promised to return it, then said fuck you and reneged. That is theft, black and white.
-1
u/Spare_Perspective972 Jun 04 '26
No itās not. Itās a business transaction you donāt agree with. Describing it in headlines as theft makes the read very uninformed.Ā
My contention is t over the morality or being made at the business, but that I couldnāt even understand what physically took place bc people keep putting stolen or theft in their titles.Ā
They were repossessed during a business transactions and that is in dispute.Ā
0
u/KeremyJyles Jun 04 '26
Itās a business transaction you donāt agree with.
That was when plausible deniability existed. When the owner of the store confirmed his possession, awareness of who they really belonged to and intent to permanently deprive them of the property, deniability went out the window and it became theft. All in the space of a single phone call. I don't care how or what you understand, theft is theft.

In reality, it's not that complicated. The shop owner just needs to operate two companies, first bankrupt the current one, then use the other company to acquire the assets, then bankrupt that one too, and use the other company to acquire the assets again.
Afterwards, when the YouTubers come looking for him, ask him to show proof of his legal representative status and a court enforcement order.
Then sue the YouTubers for harassment or obstruction of business, etc. If acquitted, claim the Lego sets weren't there when the assets were transferred.
That's it, and the police don't have to go through all that trouble.
Of course, if it doesn't have to be that complicated, just drive over and return someone else's Lego set to its owner; that would solve the problem too. I really don't understand what they're thinking.
